Overall I enjoyed this. It was a fast-paced, quick read with a lot of action sequences that were thrilling.
The beginning of the book, when the entire premise wasn't really known, absolutely sucked me in. The style, different points of view, and tempo are akin to one of my all-time favorite fictional war novels.
However, as the story continued to evolve, my enthusiasm was gradually tempered.
MINOR SPOILER ALERT
Granted, it's about Atlantis so there's certain to be an element of Science Fiction, but towards the end it went a little too far in that direction for my liking.
If not for that, I really would have loved it and would have been eager to read the sequels. As it is, I still enjoyed this book and will probably read the sequels at some point.
