I already live like this so I didn't especially learn a lot. However, it was nice to see that this is becoming something which is to be desired instead of aiming for overly rigid and controlled spaces. If you are a decorator, I think you should read this book or if you are someone who likes to have everything match or line up. What she shows you visually is that things in a room don't need to match, don't need to be new, don't need to be hung and can even have big patches on them and work. Most of the art work in this book is simply propped up, not hung, and there is a lot to be said for that choice. This is also perfect for someone who doesn't want to spend much money since you could get a lot of the stuff almost anywhere, including piles of stuff that other people are throwing out.
