Really..when I saw the description written by the author..that you wouldn't need a SUE-CHEF it should have given me a clue..if you can't spell it, and you can't look it up..then the quality of the book is certainly questionable... as was the case. It wasn't worth the space on my kindle..tossed it. NO editing, grammar, spelling errors throughout..the ingredient listings are jumbled. Got it free but..not worth the price.

Have tried a few recipes and have found it easy to follow. Most ingredients were readily available. Variety of meal types for me is important - love to experiment and also try heretofore never tried foods. Good book!

If I was to judge this book solely on formatting and the technical portions of writing, this book would be a one-star arrangement. The formatting is dreadful, with the ingredients garbled to make reading them difficult. It's rampant with spelling errors/typos too. I'm still wondering whether the "Syrup Coke" was written that way or just a typo for "Cake", and that's the title of the recipe.

With that said, this is the first Kindle book I've seen with genuine Cajun and Creole recipes written by someone who had at least tasted the real deal. The recipes are authentic, and they look entirely possible to follow, at least if you have a general idea what you are doing. On the recipe front, the only complaint I would have is that I'd want more, and that makes it nearly a five star deal.

Unfortunately, the author didn't think it was important enough to make sure the formatting worked or that there weren't a lot of spelling & typo errors. If you can live with those, this is a great little cookbook.

The formatting of this book is horrid. The ingredients list is all jumbled together on each recipe so you can't tell what quantity goes with which ingredient.

I was pleased to see an introduction trying to explain what cajun and creole cooking are but after reading the short intro I'm still confused. The author did not do a good job defining what cajun cooking and creole cooking are all about.

This is a half-hearted attempt at producing an ebook. If the author wants us to take this book seriously he should do a bit more research into the subject he is writing about and spend some time editing and formatting.

The recipes also look too simplified. It feels like something is missing.

Way too much left out. But good idea of seasoning for novice Cajun cooks. And the book was free. Not for a south LA. native.
