I've looked at allot of the books in this series, even tho they are all very nice, this was the first one I felt personally was an absolute necessity for my library. For years I've wanted to find a book that included fashion and character concept design with tutorials for execution... you know, those pro-tips and tricks that really help raise your game as an artist to the next level. Interviews, insight into the featured artist process, step-by-steps, theory as well as stages from concept to final execution.
The book is truly a quality softcover (not hardcover as it indicates in the product description) which comes with a nice slip case to keep it from getting damage. If your on the fence about dropping the money on this book, you can check it out. Just about, if not every page is posted at the publishers website, which is what sold me on buying the book. The book also comes with instructions on how to download content form the publishers website for video tutorials and photshop/painter brushes as a bonus. And yes, the link does work and I had zero trouble downloading all the content.
Really glad I found this on Amazon for a significantly lower price then directly from the publishers.

This book is just great! I adore the art in it, and the tutorials are very helpful. I used more than once to help me out with my illustrations, I really enjoy it. The only thing I wanted was for Ballistic to make a smaller less expansive version, so I could carry around sometimes. All their books are beautiful bur very heavy and big... But its a must have for any digital artist or character designer.

The book is mostly centered to the fashion of modern day characters but is still gorgeous. The book makes a good reference and inspiration resource.
