Nix on the Kindle version 13 de noviembre de 2014

I have to agree with Gaston Bacquet. Do not buy the Kindle version. I had the exact same experience with it freezing my Kindle and not being able to read the book all (read his review to get the complete story). Very frustrating, and a waste of money. I suspect the book itself would be an excellent resource (I've listened to several of Thornbury's talks online and have really enjoyed them...), but the Kindle version is not the way to go.

An excellent book that every English teacher should read and reflect about their practice. It's a must-read for those who want their class to be different and meaningful.
Do not buy the Kindle version 19 de octubre de 2014

This review refers to the Kindle version of the book and not to the book itself. I have tried to actually read the book a number of times on my device and there's something wrong with the formatting of the electronic version. When you tap on the screen for turning the page, nothing happens for several seconds. When the page does flip, it does so for 5 or 6 pages or it takes you right to the end of the book.
The table of contents will effectively freeze your device and you'll have to restart it. I have tried restarting the device as well as deleting the book and downloading it again, to no avail. I can't read more than 2 pages at a time without experiencing some kind of technical glitch which prevents me from reading.
I've contacted Amazon to get this fixed, but in the meantime I would encourage you to buy the printed version. The books contains invaluable data if you are into the Dogme approach to teaching, but you won't be able to read this electronic version.

Aren't the Authors "Luke Meddings AND Scott Thornbury" - ?

I'm excited to read this! "Dogme" has come up so much over the years in TESOL conversations &etc, so it's great to see a book, too.
