Despite the reputation of the authors, the book looks like more a brochure of commercials of a series of Northern Spain bodegas than a serious and balanced critic of wines. Everything in the book sounds unnecessarily flattering. This is not what you'd expect from independent reviewers but you can understand it within the context of a rather small country where all, wine producers and critics, seem to be friends. (By the way, the book incorporates nice pictures of the wine producers done by professional photographers, which adds more weight to the idea that the book is sort of a magazine, rather than a thoughtful guide).
