It is now two months after the craziness with Malcolm. Garrett has secured his position as pack leader and Rayna has still to go through her first shift, but all is good for the newly mated couple. Or so they thought... Carmen makes an appearance at the house demanding Rayna challenge her to be Garrett's mate and alpha female of the pack, and he has no choice but to send Rayna away for her own safety. At the last minute Garrett changes his mind and tells her to stay by his side where she belongs. Rayna has different plans however and runs when he's not looking, only to end up bumping into Carmen and finding herself packed off to the Collective in order to finish what Malcolm started. When Garrett finally discovers where his mate is he goes crazy and will do anything to get her back.

As Rayna is being held by the Collective she spends a lot of time with one of her captors, Sabriel. Grr... I was so glad to see him in this book, but totally annoyed that he's still working for the crazies. Foolish vamp. Anyway, I was totally shocked when Rayna started getting the warm and fuzzies from Sabriel - WTF!!! She's mated with Garrett, what's going to happen with these two!! I spent alot of the book worrying that she was gonna do something silly with Sabriel, but at the same time I wanted her to get some...lol. I was totally torn here because I love Sabriel as much as I love Garrett - maybe Rayna could have herself a Sabriel and Garrett sandwich. But somehow I can't see her, or Garretts, wolves letting that happen. I'm really interested in seeing where this goes.

Anywho, as you can guess I love this book. So much action, love, suspense and revenge. There were so many great scenes in this book. I'm not going to get into them all now, but I will mention a few of my favorites... I must say that I love the fight scene at the end. I always enjoy a good fight scene, the more carnage the better. And I got just that here, I love the way Lily describes the fighting, and the shifting, and the craziness that is the Collective. I also loved the way Garrett was running around all powerful like kicking ass, he's got no fear and would do anything for his mate. And I swear I cheered when Carmen, the crazy bitch, finally got what she deserved. Ha! Go Rayna!! I also liked it when Rayna finally shifted Her transformation wasn't as scary as some of the others, but it was good all the same. And finally, as usual, the love scenes were amazing!! I love the rough loving the wolves like to participate in. All that biting and scratching!! Grr... lol.

Ohh... and while Garrett and a few of the pack alphas go in search of Rayna and the Collective Bryce, Garretts right-hand man, stays to protect their home and the mysterious Vampire female they found tied up in the old mine. Even though he hates Vampires with his heart and soul he can't help but be attracted to the beauty in his care. As their time together passes Byrce discovers that he shares a special connection with Lydia, but no matter how much he, or his Wolf, wants her Bryce has to walk away. I loved the wee snippets with these two, I really can't wait to read their book. Which I'm totally hoping is next!! How long do I have to wait Lily? Please not too long anyway... lol.

Okay. Like I said earlier, this is an amazing read!! You definitely have to read it for yourself. I guarantee you will like it.

Its great...I want more..I hope there will be more to this story....keep up the good work. The description of the action scenes were very vivid and I was able to image with great detail what was going on.

I was very pleased with the way this story ended about Rayna and Garrett. I'm sure their adventures will continue and hope we will hear about them in future writings. As this is the second book for Night Breeds, it picks up with Rayna still haven't had her first shift yet when the awful Carmen returns and stirs the pot yet again. Now wanting to fight Rayna for the position of Alpha female and mate to Garrett, the only option given to Rayna is to leave or be Garrett's mistress. During a weak moment for Rayna she is kidnapped by the oh so delicious Sabriel. With the plans still in motion to out the supernatural creatures using Rayna to out them, Rayna will have to keep her wolf at bay to keep their secret. Victor, the Breed leader of the werewolves has plans to make her wolf come whether she wants to or not. Garrett will need the help of old friends and new ones to save Rayna from Victor and Carmen. During the reveal Rayna has to battle Carmen herself, and I was pleased to see Rayna a lot stronger than she realizes. The end leaves this question of Rayna and Sabriel, there is something there but we never find out the answer. I can only hope in future books we get some answers about him.
