Irene van der Zande has been featured as a personal safety and child protection expert by USA Today, CNN, Today Moms, and The Wall Street Journal. She is the author of several books, including "The Kidpower Book for Caring Adults: Personal Safety, Self-Protection, Confidence, and Advocacy for Young People", "The Relationship Safety Skills Handbook for Teens and Adults", the "Safety Comics" series, and "Bullying: What Adults Need to Know and Do To Keep Kids Safe." Through her leadership as Executive Director and Founder, Kidpower Teenpower Fullpower International has become a global non-profit leader in providing positive and effective violence prevention skill-building services that have protected and empowered over two million people of all ages and abilities since 1989.
