After months of waiting for the newest Naruto manga, it's finally here!

In the last volume (50), Sai had just returned to tell Naruto, Kakashi, and Yamato THE TRUTH behind Sakura's recent visit--and what she had been unable to say: that Naruto's old comrades were planning to "off" Sasuke, themselves. Sasuke had simply become too much of a liability, and his actions were starting to have repercussions on the relationship between Konoha (their home village, called The Village Hidden in the Leaves in the Naruto anime), and the rest of the ninja world. It's a situation that will soon come to war, if left unchecked.

As Naruto mulls over this news in silence, Gara, Tamari, and Kankuro show up with news of their own. They explain what happened at the Hokage summit--and who has been named Hokage of Konoha.

Meanwhile, in another place, Madara Uchiha facilitates the battle between Sasuke and Danzo. Madara knows the depth of Sasuke's hate for Danzo because of what the man did to Sasuke's brother, and Madara is eager to test Sasuke's abilities. During this battle, Danzo reveals an extremely powerful secret weapon--a forbidden jutsu that we've never glimpsed, before now--and boy, is it a doozie! But it takes a terrible toll on its user. So as the battle between Sasuke and Danzo rages on, we're left wondering if Danzo will be able to overcome Sasuke before his jutsu takes its final toll. And as we see Sasuke sacrifice one who is loyal and committed to him, we must wonder if Sasuke has gone too far down the path of vengeance to ever come home.

As we reach the end of volume 51, we see first-hand how far Sasuke has truly fallen. Kakashi and Sasuke face off, each ready to kill the other. And as Sasuke stands with a wild look in his eyes and hate in his heart, Kakashi realizes that this scene is much like that of the Third Hokage standing against his own student, Orochimaru--in a battle that left both student and teacher destroyed.

I've been reading along, expecting to learn that Sasuke's fall toward evil was only a front--and that he actually had a much nobler plan beneath it all. But at this point, it appears that Sasuke really IS as evil as his actions seem to indicate. But Masashi Kishimoto has a special skill with plot reversals, so there's still hope. Not to mention, it would be a huge disappointment for Sasuke's fate to be revealed in black and white--once and for all, with no hope of salvation. This is not the path of greater conflict--and conflict is what creates interesting story. So...I'm biding my time until volume 52 comes out in September, and hoping for "the best".

Volume 51 is hard-hitting and full of action. It definitely does not disappoint!

I'm not really sure what to say other than it's a Naruto compilation manga. If you like Naruto you will love this book. Especially if you have read the other 50 or watched the anime series up until this point. I lost my ability to watch Naruto on tv or online so I started pre-ordering the manga through amazon and will continue to do so until I'm back in the real world(currently with the military overseas).

Hey my name is Shayan and this is my Naruto vol 51 review Sasuke vs Danzo!

I like the book. It has alot of good stuf In It, but the thing that makes this book so good Is the fight you get In It.
The fight really makes me happy, bekause It Is not In many naruto books where the main fight (in this case Sasuke vs Danso) has almost everything you want in a fight, so buy It you will not regret It.

Working on buying the entire set and this has been the most affordable way to do it. These are the only books our 11 y/o will read without being threatened with torture. I have no idea what all this Naruto stuff is all about, but it's something that has helped him get his daily 1 hour of reading in, and now he will voluntarily ready more, often losing track of time.

An action packed tale of friendship and vengence 23 de junio de 2011
Por Tristan A. Hayes - Publicado en Amazon.com
Formato: Tapa blanda Compra verificada
Naruto Vol 51 covers material that was covered in Shonen Jump issues 91-94, or the chapters,
474: A Hokage's Decision
475: Madera's True Worth
476: Sasuke vs. Danzo
477: Do Not Speak of Itachi
478: Sasuke's Susano'o
479: The Izanagi
480: Sacrifice
481: The Death of Danzo
482: Just One More Time
483: Master and Student Reunited!

As usual it will be as spoilerfree as possible. The highlight of Naruto, and particularly this volume, is honestly the tie of friendship and how friends respond to these event. Naruto, is, as everyone knows Sasuke's best friend. However, when Naruto receives news that Sasuke is a rouge ninja of sorts, and if we recall, under some manipulation of sorts by Madara, Naruto deliberates what he must do. However his time is cut short as he receives news on both ends of the spectrum, that is, what the Kage Summit decided to do on Sasuke as well as what the Hidden Leaf, specifically his friends intend to do. Gaara implores Naruto to think hard about what he would do, as a friend, and how a friend would respond to Sasuke. Meanwhile, with additional knowledge of what his friends in hidden leaf will do, Naruto is conflicted, confused, and ultimately, driven by his desire to do whatever it takes to bring Sasuke back, driven to a fit of hyperventilation, its too much. How does Naruto respond? Well, I found it quite interesting and thus you must check it out.

The other portion of the volume dealth with Sasuke, and just based on the artwork alone, it was glorious. Attacks looked powerful, history was explained, and new powers realized. Definitely, for us Sasuke fans, it was fantastic.

Viz worked wonders at translating, and making it have a consistent and modern reading style. Nothing confusing was there. There were no bonuses in the volume at all beyond the chapter art pages. Ultimately it was a great volume, one worth reading and owning. Definitely check it out and add to your collection of Naruto Shippuden manga volumes. Vol 52 cant come fast enough!
