This wonderful story is very short, yet manages to say a whole lot--something I appreciate very much in literature. You wouldn't think it, as I write like words are going out of style, spending hours on the flip-side "trimming the fat."
I love the way Bridget, in "The Bard Effect," brings you briefly into her world, then spits you back out in the real world full of of tasty food for thought. "The Bard Effect" is a riddle, in a sense. When you get to the end, you want to start back over and read it again with the acquired knowledge, then talk about it with someone else who's read it. I love that!
Such a fun little story!
