Descripción del producto

No secret remains hidden forever however well buried...

Jerusalem AD76: an old man sets sail for Britain. Strapped to his back is a mysterious package, the contents of which include a codex and a black chalice. The final pages of the codex harbour the truth behind Project Lazarus. A secret so explosive should it ever be revealed Christianity would be doomed.
Generations later, a group of teenagers discover the chalice hidden beneath the foundations of an ancient monastery in Wales. Unwittingly they set in motion a train of events which culminate in an orgy of bloodshed.
Turning his back on a glittering career in the SAS, Jared Hunter returns home to discover the village of Raven’s Hill in the grip of an ancient evil. Enlisting the aid of Eric Thomas, a retired minister, they trace the origins of the chalice from the fall of Jerusalem to the hilltop fortress of Masada. The deeper they dig the more they become convinced that behind everything lies the spectre of the Knights Templar.
With the blood count rising, there appears to be only one way to stop the horror. The quest to discover and translate the final section of the codex rapidly becomes a struggle to keep one step ahead of a cadre of ancient assassins known as The Brotherhood.

Editors Note
The Judas Codex offers a fascinating insight into a riddle that has teased mankind since the time of Christ. Its brilliant scenes of action and romance, overlapped with learning and legend, give the reader fresh perspectives and intriguing mental challenges. Ostensibly a work of fiction, the reader is left facing the question: what if?

2.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas DECENT STORY - POOR EDITING 20 de abril de 2013

If, like me, you are tired of Amazon's poorly edited electronic book offerings then save yourself some grief and pass on this one. The story line is decent although it is a bit jumbled. But I am really getting tired of misspelled and incorrect words. Come on Amazon, you can do a better job. After all, you cornered the market.

The Lazarus Project? Would that be the name chosen in 76 AD? I doubt it. Though the story is interesting, it was very convoluted with too many characters to keep track of. If you are the least bit squeamish, do not read. VERY violent.

I was disgusted that this book was passed off as a Christian novel! As soon as I got to a sex scene I immediately deleted it! It should be removed from the list! As far as I'm concerned someone owes me another book! I only buy books now by authors that have good reputations for writing clean Christian material. Totally appalled.

1.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas One of the worst books ever 3 de mayo de 2013

I was eager to read this book after reading the comment about THE JUDAS CODEX but I wish I had not as it is one of the worst books I have ever come across. The plot was rather childish and, sadly, close enough to Dan Brown's book that in places it seemed as if I was reading a carbon copy. But the absolutely worst thing about this book is the lack of editing. There are so many grammatical mistakes, tendency to introduce sentences in long passages with split infinitives, and, worst of all, misspellings and punctuation that it became a chore to just continue reading. At times, the author had characters suddenly start speaking in passages that were obviously between two characters and even lose sense of who was saying what. I can understand why a writer may bend history a bit to suit his plot but in this sense, he was ridiculous and melodramatic. So melodramatic, in fact, that entire passages became dead metaphors. There is absolutely no grammatical violation the author did not commit, no punctuation (including possessives), even to the correct spelling of his characters' names which he had originally established. This is something a mediocre ninth grade English student might have written. Bad, bad, bad . . .

3.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas The Author is a teacher?! 19 de junio de 2013

Great story but definitely derivative, as the author admits in his comments. I almost gave up reading, though, because the book needs major editing. The grammar and punctuation mistakes are more frightening than some of the story concepts - and the author appears to have been some sort of teacher! Also the character and plot twists are sometimes very difficult to follow, partly due, I suspect, to the grammar and lack of editing. I'm inclined to want to read his next book but ONLY if it's more professional in the writing and, most importantly, the editing.
