Descripción del producto

Reseña del editor

During the Korean War, a Navy pilot collides with an unknown aircraft. A deadly component from the crash lands on a remote island beach, and remains there until it is discovered decades later. The story rapidly progresses to present day, when U.S. sailor Randy Farren finds the round, rose-colored object on an uninhabited Korean island, and begins experiencing headaches, hallucinations, and nightmares. This story follows the journey of the mysterious object, and explores the effects it has on everyone who tries to possess it. Insanity, murder, government conspiracies, and hints of humor and romance are included in the race against time, as the fate of civilization hangs in the balance.

Biografía del autor

Robert M. Roberts grew up in the Midwest and spent most of his childhood weekends in movie theaters. When he wasn’t taking in a movie, he was at his parent’s beer tavern observing the unique characteristics and mannerisms of the everyday bar patrons. As an adult, his service in the United States Navy and employment as an international salesman took him to many countries around the world, exposing him to different personalities and cultures. These experiences combined with the vivid imagination he was born with, is what inspires him to write novels of intrigue and suspense, with a touch of humor thrown in along the way. Robert currently resides with his wife and cat in a small town located in the Ozark Mountain region of the Midwest.

4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas The Monkey Toy is a very good read. 25 de agosto de 2011

The Monkey Toy is a riviting thriller! The book grabs your attention quickly and you don't want to put it down until you have finished reading it! It does contain some foul language, but that doesn't distract from the story.

I felt the author did a good job of bringing the story from the Korean War until present day. The story line is easy to follow and at the same time keeps you wondering what is going to happen next!

The Monkey Toy is a good read. While there are a few minor errors on Navy protocal the story is solid and not too far out of the realm of possibilities. As is normal with most people not too many folks are willing to act on information that is not considered "rock solid" or might have some "reliability issues".

Good first effort...

This was a great book, especially for the authors first book. He caught my attention from the very beginning and held it through out the entire book. There is some foul language but its easy to overlook because the story is so interesting. The ending caught me by surprise!! I also see the author has another book on the market, I cant wait to purchase it and start reading it!
