Through the Eyes of a Child 10 de febrero de 2013
Por Pat Raymond - Publicado en Amazon.com
"The Small and the Brave" is a story of WWII Germany from the memories of Rosi Stachel. It spans her life from when she was four (4) years old through 18-1/2 years. Although it is a fairly short book (30 pages), it speaks volumes. In reading it, you can actually feel what the German people themselves endured. I couldn't put it down. I later had the pleasure of meeting the author, Rosemarie Stachel. She is a virant, outgoing person in spite of all that she lived through. This is a "must read" for everyone. I highly recommend this book. It makes you wonder how many other Rosi Stachel's are out there.

Rosi Stachel recaptures the small voice of her childhood in full description, of the trials endured during her World War II experiences. Her vivid memories allow you to relive her stories in a very spirited way. Rosi is an inspiration of how love and forgiveness can heal.

Looking Into the Eyes of Another 3 de marzo de 2006

Reading about those horrific times in our history is always very heart wrenching. Reading about the experiences of one who lived through those times brought sadness to my heart, but also made me realize the strength of the human mind and body.
An important story retold. 22 de diciembre de 2005

The at times shocking memoirs of a young girl in WW II Germany revives the tale of a generation's trials of war, the invasion by Russian soldiers, and finally emigration to America. A most interesting story well worth reading.

I could not put this book down. It took me into the past and I felt what Rosi felt. My love for factual books grows because of people like her, willing to share their experiences. When can I see another Rosi?
