Not many authors can pull off writing about high school like Selina Fugate. She captures the tone, humor and drama of it all with the insight and details of a master storyteller. This is a debut YA novel all ages can enjoy. The story begins with a tragic accident, quickly escalates into a dark, magical mystery that is both terrifying and gripping to read. Fugate expertly balances humor and tension as she carries the reader along on a powerhouse journey into a wild and unpredictable world of fantasy behind "The Veil."
It's well worth the read. You won't regret it.

I just finished the book and was totally enthralled all the way through. Extremely nice handling of all the supernatural thingys. The suspense just keeps building to the end..when I got there, I said "OH , NO!" How can I wait until the sequel comes out? Hurry, hurry, gal! A great read. The Veil

I havent read the entire book yet but from what I have read to this point I am enjoyng it. I love the way she describes everything in the book in such great detail. I like reading that allows me to come up with my own images to fit the words on the page but I also like a good read that makes everything so easy to image like you are right there in the book or watching it on film.
By the end of the second chapter you get to know the character well and her life that she lives. You are waiting to know what is going to happen next. I have to say that I just originally decided to get this book because I remember Selina the author, staying all night with my sister sometimes in elementary school and I was just curious.... when I got it though I couldnt stop reading it. I actually postponed some school work because reading this book was sooo much better!
I think any teen, or adult (since Im almost 30) would enjoy this book! If you like Twilight series you will probably like this one as well it would probably most enjoyed by this audience. Im excited to continue reading and wonder if Selena Fugate could be the next Stephanie Meyers?
