It's not fair. I live in Spain and cannot buy books en amazon.uk, or amazon.it, etc...
I bought my Kindle precisely for reading in other languages and now only can buy fron Spain...
This should chang.

This is the great, white whale in the Amazon ecosystem. Territorial copyrights and the laws regarding them are to blame, to some extent, in terms of pricing and accesability of titles. However, Amazon should permit free acces to all of their stores on one single device. Right now, you are bound to the store you originally registered your Kindle to and if you so choose to make the jump to another store, you must leave the original registration and start from scratch (and, also, and more troubling, loose all of your purchases on the original store¡¡¡). That makes no sense...

I agree. Specially when you can buy paper books in any of the Amazon stores without any problem. Why not Kindle books?

That is my question too. New releases in English can be bought on paper but not for Kindle... AMAZING!! We should make a global complain to rearrange this issue.

Maybe it is because VAT is not required for books in UK and it is in Spain... but that is still too much for a tax. Im afraid policies around downloading depending on which country your kindle is registered in must be different , which I do not understand at all! I cannot buy new releases in UK in my Spain registerd kindle, for instance. It is really annoying. Amazing how " the cloud " works. Lots of users are dissapointed. I expect Amazon pays attention to our complains. It is ridiculous that you can buy ANY book on paper but not to be able to download them.

It's an issue, I think, with the publishers and copyrights and other retarded stuff that hurts everyone involved (from the author and his/her sales to the final reader). Problem is the retards in the offices that produces nothing and gets the books for free anyway cant understand it's also bad for them. In fact they actually believe it's good for them.
Wahtever you do, don't pay extra. If you can see it's a scam, why give into it? Their retarded policies, their loss. Shouldnt be your loss.

I'm a spanish born speaker, but always have a deep fascination with the english language. That is the reason I deal exclusively with Amazon USA regarding reading material. Well, that and the fact that the conversion rate Euro-US dollar is too good too ignore (seriously, guys, the books are dirt cheap over there). However, is really baffling this limitation beetween Amazon stores and basically the only really annoying thing regarding the Amazon ereader ecosystem for me right now is that Im cut off from the UK Store. Not cool...
