Being a huge fan of both Jane Austen and murder histories, I was very much intrigued by this book, which ultimately combines one of the less appreciated Austen's novel, Mansfield Park, with the sort of murder history you would expect from Agatha Christie or P.D. James. And I was not disappointed. The author is absolutely successful at recreating the atmosphere of a typical Austen's novel, especially through an extremely accurate attention to the language, while at the same time she is able to build a very complex mystery around the murder one of the main characters. Definitely a highly entertaining reading, which you can hardly put down. Highly recommended to all Austen and murder histories fan.
