From "Social Graces" to "The Vanities". Twenty-seven years of book publications as well as signature photographs since the late '50's have thus far amounted to an enviable career of Larry Fink. We continue to enjoy the probing Fink touch of capturing unintentional moments in the lives of people unable to escape his 'eye' and hand-held flash. Who else but Larry Fink focuses on a woman's foot precariously balancing her shoe while revealing a huge hole in the heel of her stocking? A moment with 'Hef' only showing his well-starched formal shirt and bow tie while bearing in on the headless well-endowed trio of femininity at his table is an excellent example of Fink's subtle story telling. "The Vanities" is a fabulous compilation of a decade of high party life summed up by 'the spy'.
