Libro de tamaño super reducido, pero muy interesante. Si te dedicas a la comunicación será tu biblia. Está escrito en inglés y tardó una semana en llegar, super rápido teniendo en cuenta que venía de UK.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas So small that it's even hard to find! - but TOO helpful - 20 de julio de 2000
Por Manny Hernandez - Publicado en Amazon.com
Formato: Libro de bolsillo
Not too many times, after you've left school do you sit back and go through your writing critically, in order to improve it. I believe this book to have a quality unlike many others: it takes you by the hand, and if you give it the necessary time, and USE the tips given, you'll soon realise you're writing in ways you never thought possible. It teaches you how to be critical of your own work, how to listen to what you write, how to look at things from a different perspective (put yourself in your reader's shoes, for example). It has so many ways in which it can help yourself, and yet, with Provost's humor, you never grow tired of it.
As of today, I'm past the middle of the book, and I have mixed feelings: on one side I don't want it to be over (I've just learned SO MUCH with it...) on the other I can't help to go through the rest of it to learn all that it has to offer (I guess I'll reread it later on, anyway!)
I have not read such a small but helpful book in a long time. It might easily translate into the best spent 5 bucks ever, if you're into writing.

While neither as thorough as Strunk & White nor as inspiring as many of the good writing books, this is still a handy box of tools ideal for thumbing through and picking up reminders to improve your writing (and reminding you of all the bad writing techniques in this very sentence). Like many books of this type, the author can't help citing examples of his own work. Buy it, keep it by your desk or commode, for finding nuggets to help send you on your writing way.

Although a book from the 1980s, this book has excellent advice applicable today.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Great book on writing better! 5 de febrero de 2008

If you find that my review is poorly written, put the blame on me and not Mr Provost and you could see the reasons why I have read this book.
Mr Provost filled the book with examples that are easy to understand and he had styled the book in a reader friendly and comprehensive format.

You could read the book from page 1 to the end and undergo the systematic built up to better writing or you could easily refer to the relevant sections without feeling lost.

The only shortcoming of this book it that it is concise and could not provide more in depth explanation on some terms like "normative" and "objective" use of noun. However, Mr Provost has done a wonderful job of balancing the need of the general public to be a good writer against that of a linguist.
