Glock 19, extra mag, gerber 06 auto, and a ccw. Dosent flop at all. I can lift, plyo, and run with this. This answered my problem of carrying in the gym. Even has a quick pull tab. Great purchase. If I have a black shirt on its hard to see it.

Great concealed carry solution for up to a mid-size pistol...
This bag would be perfect for a single-stack pistol like an SW M&P Shield with a 3' to 3 1/2' barrel, or a Walther CCP...
a pistol like a Walther P99 it fits pretty well. Because of the placement inside the bag, the elastic straps intended to hold the gun in place end up having to go over the barrel and trigger guard. Amazingly, the elastic does fit over the barrel and trigger guard after some intense effort - see photo. After some use the elastic stretches, making it easier to 'holster to pistol. The construction is very good, with great stitching, zippers and zipper pulls. The two inch web belt has a buckle that engages very positively compared to the typical fanny pack hardware. Once sized, some may find it useful to 'lock' one side of the belt with something like heavy-duty upholstery thread leaving only one side adjustable.
Overall a good-looking, well made alternative to a conventional belt-mounted holster.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Great for carrying at the gym. 5 de junio de 2016

I use this "fanny pack" when I go running or to the gym. Fits my M&P shield perfectly with an extra magazine. Some larger frame pistols might not fit. Deployment is fairly fast and simple, of course with practice it gets better. Great product definitely recommend this. Looks great too in my opinion. People can laugh all they want at the gym. At the end of the day my gun is right there locked and loaded should the need arise.

4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Works well after modification for Ruger SP101 31 de marzo de 2015

Very well made item that works perfectly for my use AFTER a couple of modifications: First, the waistband straps were way too long for me - had to cut about 10" off both sides. Second, and more important, the center elastic bands did not easily fit around my Ruger SP101, i.e. the bands are too short, with not enough room for the cylinder and trigger guard of the revolver. (Consequently, the weapon was not secured properly and could actually fall to the ground when the pouch was unzipped). The 'fix' was to remove one end of the band, and extend it (with the band from the other side), and re-secure it with enough length to accommodate my Ruger. (Currently pinned in place in case the elastic stretches out a bit). It is now a very satisfactory CCW option.

Everyday carrying forces choices on us men.

If we carry inside the waistband (IWB), some of us have to wear pants and belts that are a size larger than we normally wear, which can look wrong. Such holsters can cause your pants to sag. Also, comfort while wearing IWB often requires that we also wear a “wife beater” (basketball style) undershirt under our shirt, because after a few hours that tight belt and pants top chafe the skin.

Under the armpit? The holster’s shoulder harness quickly gets old after a few hours, and we learn why women don’t like bras. The special undershirts for that purpose are expensive and not so comfortable.

At the ankle? Good access if you are driving; bad access if you are walking. And impossible in shorts.

Using a fanny pouch is the compromise I settled on. The Good is its flexibility. I can wear it all year around. I can wear pants that fit, and shorts. And gun access can be quite fast. The Bad and The Ugly go together: Butt packs look a little dorky. That’s why I decided to look for one that is as innocuous as possible, and to use it to carry only my pistol.

After much internet research, I narrowed my choices to two, which I ordered: The Ka-Bar TDI Law Enforcement Fanny Pack, and this 5.11 Select Carry Pistol Pouch, arrived promptly. Both are small, compared to the gun show pouch that I had worn out over the preceding two years.
A brief trial revealed that, as nice as the Ka-Bar pouch is, the heavyweight zipper prevents fast access to the gun. I sent it back.

For the past three weeks I have been using this 5.11, with success. I like it. I like the wide waist strap, and have worn it comfortably all day. Yes, the waist strap loosens on its own, very slowly as I wear it, but re-adjusting every 5-6 hours is easy, without removing the pouch, by simply tugging the strap. I could tack the strap with thread and freeze the waist size, but I prefer having the adjustment.

When the pack arrived I was surprised to find when I stepped into sunlight that my pack’s main body is not black, but a very dark Navy. I like it; It’s more elegant than flat black.

The tiny side pouches are almost useless, but not quite: As a test I managed to wedge a Glock 26 mag loaded with ten 9mm rounds into one, but I choose to not carry the mag, to keep weight down.

What I don’t like is the way the side pouches open from the bottom up. I stored a bullet in there once - until it fell out somewhere.

The four original equipment zipper pulls are ridiculously large, and must be removed, for appearance sake. In my case that leaves nothing with which to easily open and close the zippers in non-emergency use, but that’s no problem. Except for drawing practice there is no reason to easily actuate these zippers.

Fast gun drawing is stellar. The pull tab works great and the gun is readily presented for use.

I very much like the way the pouch sticks forward so little. Stays tight to my body. It FEELS tactical!

As for roominess, the pouch nicely accommodates my 9mm Glock 19, even with a +2 mag extension, but any taller gun would be too big. My normal carry is a Glock 26 with a +2 extension, and it works equally well. (For fun one day I carried a little .380 pistol with a +4 extension, to see how much difference the lighter weight made. Even with the 5.11‘s excellent, wide waistband, there normally is a little pants sagging after a few hours, but not so with the lighter .380.)

In summary: Best overall size, except maybe for the Ka-Bar; great waistband; great tactical operation; silly side pockets. Four and a half stars. Would be five stars if they made the side pockets even smaller or non-existent, so the bag would show even less, and if they put smaller zipper pulls on the zippers. But that’s small stuff. Great bag; I would buy it again.
