* Owned for almost 1 year
* Used intermittently for office listening (music), conference calls, traveling, movie-watching, working out, etc.
* Purchased on Amazon for $53.75

These headphones were my first move to a "high-quality" earbud set after using cheaper in-ear headphones by Sony and Skullcandy. The difference really is astounding. For Amazon's price of ~$50, the AKG Q350 is are totally worth it. I have not heard better sound out of any other audio-producing equipment that I own, including my home theater system. I'm so happy with the sound that I would never consider spending more than $100 on earbuds ever. Even then, I would be upgrading to a nicer AKG set.

Since owning these, I have purchased a pair of the [extremely comfortable] on-ear headphones (AKG Q460). The obvious difference between the Q350 and the Q460, being in-ear vs. on-ear, means the sound escapes and gives a different experience with the Q460. These, the Q350, make you feel like you stepped into a sealed audio testing room... it's just you and the music. The isolation of noise is really fantastic, once you get a tight seal. I rate the sound quality in these noticeably higher than the sound from the Q460.

This is what I would consider the love it or hate it breaking point of these headphones... can you get a tight seal in your ear? The quality difference is very noticeable. Those who complain about these lacking bass probably have a combination of three problems: 1) They do not have a tight seal, 2) The music they are playing is not of good enough quality (i.e. over-compressed), or 3) Their audio configuration is prohibiting good translation of the music.

The ear cushions are really comfortable, much more so than any other earbud I've used. For me, they fit easily and don't fall out, even while working out.

The durability of these is great. I accidentally put them through the washer and dryer. They still sound amazing. Even the mic and buttons still work.

My only complaints for these headphones are 1) They could use a style update, and 2) The mic and button module could be better engineered... it's not great for noisy rooms, and sometimes it bumps on my collar.

Overall, I highly recommend these for anyone wanting an all-purpose, durable, great-sounding in-ear headphone set.

I do like these well enough for travel and the sound quality is excellent compared to many other ear buds. The fit is not the best for me and even though there are several sized connectors for every ear, the buds tend to slip out of your ear if you move around a little bit. If you are in a stable place to use them, fine. If you are working out, I recommend you get the ear holders or they will pop out on almost any movement you make. Just average overall but a good deal for the price.

4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Unusable without foam tips 5 de marzo de 2015

Uncomfortable to the max.

Let me start by saying I'm an AKG fan, I own many AKG headphones including all of the k7 line. I like the sound of these earbuds but only after changing to foam tips.

I have not had the same problems others have reported about these falling out with the stock tips.

The bodies on these buds are quite large, and also not smooth. The size would not be so much as a problem if it were not for the plastic "net" feature on, the net has a rough edge on it making it very uncomfortable sitting in your ear at any angle.

I was able to get a good seal with the largest stock tips but the nets were rubbing my ears raw. Even with a decent seal the sound was sub par. Bloaty overpowering bass, and veiled nasaly vocals.

I had some spare Comply t-500 (Largest bore comply tips), and I put those on and wow what a difference. Bass evens out, vocals get cleaner, everything is nice and balanced. Now let me tell you, there is some considerable effort required to get the comply tips on these because the bore on these pods is so large. The comply site lists the T500 as the compatible tip, which is also their largest tip as the right ones for the Q350. You really need to push hard and fight with it to get the tips on (and I mean hard) but it's totally worth it.

Adding the foam tips gets lets these buds sit at the correct distance from your ear instead of smushed in. This lets you experience them the way they were meant to be heard. By proxy adding distance between your ear and the plastic net also increases comfort greatly

4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Now I like them 27 de septiembre de 2013

I like many other people on here was very disappointed about the bass in these headphones. The mids and highs were good, and you could hear the different instruments and layers of vocals really well, but there was almost no bass at all. The controls work well, and they are really comfortable, but I was still going to give them a 3 out of 5. However while messing with them I noticed that they just don't seal well, in my case at least, in my ears. I pushed them in my ears and heard bass for the first time so I took some ear pieces off some other headphones, and put them on these and they sound really good now. Just like before except with bass. You can still hear sounds, background vocals, and ablivs you can't with cheap headphones. Bass is not over powering, but is pretty good. Definitely higher quality than most earbuds and worth the $50 bucks. Just make sure that if you don't hear bass you try out all the earpieces and make sure you have a good seal in your ears, or even try some earpieces from other earbuds like I did bc they do have bass!!

I have a high-end manufacturing background - I know pretty good sound. These ear buds play pretty amazingly for the money. Don't over analyze them - they go deep, highs are not perfect - but for the money - they kick serious butt over anything under $100 that I've heard - they have really big bass that surprised me - I've owned several pairs Ultimate Ears, Skull Candy Titan - bass monsters for my workouts at the gym where I blast SiriusXM on BPM - so you know they slam bass out - but not the very BEST quality bass - just a ton of it and in the gym or on my bike, that's perfectly cool. I listen to a ton of talk as well - perfect, super clear, all is well. The AKG's are WAY more articulate in bass reproduction, midrange is really quite amazing, and the highs are just like listening to a stereo where you've tipped the treble up a bit past flat - not bad actually, just accentuated - I've sustained some hearing loss over the years back from the NYC club outings where everything damaged your hearing. Don't over think this - if you get them for around 55-60 bucks, be happy you scored them - I carry them everywhere - perfect in the coffee shop or at the gym - I actually take my Skull Candy's to the gym before the AKG's so I don't sweat in or damage them. Great product for the $
