Aside from this small setback, the monitors are perfect for my setup. They have nice colors and work great with anything I throw at them.
"Sorry, this isnt the correct invoice."
My next step was to talk to a manager named Leslee, she essentially said she needed the invoice. I informed her that i had sent the latest invoice with the package and sent it again, twice, to two other email addresses and offered to send it directly to her email address. She declined. I asked her if she could confirm that the other two email addresses had received my invoice again. She declined.
Several times she had put me on mute, a tactic that call centers do when they are talking bad about you so you can't hear them. I discussed this with her as I have also worked at a call center before. She stammered on and went back to regurgitating policies and tactics. I hope someone from corporate ASUS sees this and responds about how the customer service of ASUS has gone down so much in such a little time.
Sadly, my problem is with the sales process.
They offer a $20 rebate, but it's kind of a scam. Don't depend on it. They will fight you tooth and nail and you'll probably lose.
They request a label off the original box with the UPC, bar code, and serial number. I looked hard and found the one in the attached image, on the original box, with the UPC, bar code, and serial number. The black is from the product box and not the Amazon package it was shipped in, it definitely came from the product box. And the shipping information is obviously not to me.
They've refused the rebate because despite being a label from the original box and having a UPC, barcode, and serial number, it's not the right label from the original box having a UPC, bar code, and serial number.
It's the wrong label off the original box having a UPC, bar code, and serial number.
This despite having access to the purchase information I used to order it through Amazon, required in their online form, so they know I bought the damned thing and can't possibly confuse me with anyone else who did.
I don't have the box any more to hunt for new labels, and I'm not sure the label I sent wasn't covering the one they want anyway, and they've refused the rebate, so I'm screwed.
It's a painful process to get $20 and you probably won't get it even after bothering.
And it's a shame, because it's a great monitor for the price.
Edit: if you run into this issue and can't work it out with ASUS's fulfilment place, contact Amazon support and they may be able to help. Thank you, Amazon!
