2.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Not ideal for lefties 22 de octubre de 2015

Yet another pencil grip that advertises it is suitable for left-handed people. It's NOT FOR LEFTIES.

The finger slots are cut for a right-handed person, so when this is moved to the left hand (you have to basically turn it upside down) the middle finger hole is too short to allow proper finger placement (supporting the pencil from underneath). Instead, only the very tip of the middle finger is in the shortest finger hole, allowing a child to simply drop that hole and place his fingers incorrectly. Two stars because it can be adapted for lefties easier than other grip aids I've tried for my son, but they did not produce these with lefties in mind. These grips are ergonomically cut for righties.

Why don't pencil grip manufacturers simply produce a left-handed version? We know that 10% of people are left-handed (and are much more likely to need a grip aid), so at least 10% of the stock produced should be designed with a left-handed person in mind. Right now, they produce so-called ambidextrous grip aids that are uncomfortable and ineffective for lefties. GRRR!

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Better than pencil grips! 7 de septiembre de 2015

I bought these for my 1st grader who holds the pencil will all five fingers to help him have a better grip that would not hurt after writing for a while. These are a great guide for young ones. I have tried several others but they still allowed him to hold the pencil wrong because there was more than one way to hold them. With this, the three fingers fit into the cups, (thumb is largest marked with a "T") and comfortably positions the fingers where they should be. These will work on pens, pencils, mechanical pencils, crayons, forks and spoons, and anything you would want to slide it onto. The rubber or silicon material is flexible enough to stretch over all of the above listed items. I am very happy with these and will order more for the children's teacher to keep in class!

I was skeptical about this unfamiliar design for pencil grip correction devices (I'm a Master Handwriting teacher with 40+ years of experience teaching beginning to primary school kids) and have used other varieties of these items--but this is an excellent design, it works great, and (nearly as importantly) the kids love it!

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Pencil Grip Correction 23 de agosto de 2016

Love these! My daughter had pencil grip issues and at 8 years old (3rd grade) we were told it would be impossible to change her grip now. I would not have bothered changing it however her incorrect grip was causing hand pain that would result in tears and little work accomplished. I bought these grips and a handwriting practice book and had her practice a few pages everyday for 3 weeks. She now instinctively picks up the pencil with the correct grip even without the grippers. We are still working daily until we finish the entire handwriting book but this has been a huge help. I strongly recommend if you need pencil grip help.
5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas My favorite pencil grip- works with pens and pencils of varying sizes 17 de noviembre de 2016

This is my favorite grip for my daughter as it fits on all pens and pencils because the centerpiece stretches. It also does a good job of forming a natural grip, and my daughter feels that it is comfortable. We had to start using it in first grade and I didn't really address issues of grip early enough (live and learn!). In second grade she's been able to write without it when given gentle reminders to reposition her fingers. It leaves me suspecting that using this grip in first grade helped train her fingers to be more comfortable in this position. I'm not sure if she'll need these for the long haul, but it's nice to know that if she reverts to her preferred grip she'll be able to use these if it causes her any discomfort.
