5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Definately "Pink Sugar's"Grown Up Sister. 29 de agosto de 2013

It's somehow sweetly "fairy sugar," but has a more adult, sexier note, somehow (I'm terrible at notes). I don't smell caramel or rose. Nicer than Pink Sugar, and longer lasting, BTW-- This seller is a very prompt shipper.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Balkis is named after a queen, and it's all about soft bouquets of flowers.... not the vanilla. 23 de septiembre de 2014

I recently purchased Balkis for women by Al-Rehab (Crown Perfumes) concentrated perfume oil in the glass roller ball bottle (6 ml) here on Amazon. It is the second Al-Rehab fragrance I've tried, and I am not at all disappointed.

I purchased six of these perfume oils at once, as I wanted to break away from department store and designer fragrances for a while.

Balkis is classified as "an Oriental feminine fragrance enriched with vanilla."

Please don't mistake this for a vanilla fragrance. Balkis is a soft floral that is powdery and slightly sweet. It is not a gourmand fragrance, and the vanilla is not at all dominant. It is also not an amber fragrance.

It is a floral bouquet enhanced by vanilla, but it is definitely blooming with delicate petals. None of the floral notes are overpowering. That's why the word "bouquet" is very important here. This fragrance is all about cool, dew-drenched flowers, clean yet gently sweet. I read that it is named after a queen, which is very fitting, as it is a very feminine and luxurious scent.

As I say with all the Al-Rehab perfume oils, just use a small dab of this fragrance. It is very concentrated and will last a very long time.

2.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Not really my style... 16 de abril de 2013

I took a risk on this fragrance and looked at the descriptions of the fragrances that can be found here (if you scroll down, you will see a chart) [...]

Here is a description of the fragrance that I hope you find helpful.
1. High quality oil
2. Convenient roller
3. Attractive packaging
4. Shipped fairly quickly.
5. The fragrance changes as you wear it throughout the day.
6. The price is excellent

***Why I didn't like it
1. Very heavy rose note that I wasn't expecting to be quite as strong as it was since the description lists it as a third scent. So, the lesson is that the order of the scents in the description doesn't necessarily indicate top/heart/base notes.
2. My personal preference is for woody, spicy, and herbal scents. Lesson is: when Al-Rehab says floral, that means FLORAL.
3. Floral scents have a tendency to turn brassy on my skin.

***Further description
1. You will like this scent if you like things along the line of Halston or Chanel No. 5. I also think that lovers of Sunflowers might like this scent as well. I remember a lot of scents like this in the early '80s.

If you have other questions about this fragrance, feel free to leave comments!

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Better than Pink Sugar! 14 de septiembre de 2016

This has become one of my favorite perfume oil discoveries from Crown right after their Dalal and Choco Musk. Already having both Pink Sugar and Delicious Cotton Candy, as soon as I opened the cap of Soft I knew it was a dupe. Everything was present, the citrus to the tart red berries to the caramel. In place of the anise/black licorice, Soft seems to have a medicinal Oud note which cuts through the sweetness.

It wasn't until I tried Soft on one arm and Pink Sugar on the other that I noticed how synthetic and almost plastic Pink Sugar is in comparison. What's interesting is while Soft smells, up close, identical (only better) to Pink Sugar what others will smell on you is rather different. Someone described the scent as warm lemon pound cake and I would have to agree, only imagine that with caramel sauce drizzled on top and a slight smoky amber. It's a sweet, gourmand scent for sure but not to the point of being literal, you can tell that Soft is a deliciously blended perfume. This one is also a lot stronger than the others I mentioned and lasts ages on clothes.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Luscious Exotic Fragrance - I Like It 8 de febrero de 2014

I admit I was nervous about ordering an unknown fragrance although I have ordered perfume oils from Al-Rehab (Crown Perfumes) (7 now to be exact) and liked most of what I ordered. This particular fragrance I love and glad I took a chance ordering it. I looked up the word "Sabaya" and it means morning, the eastern wind. I think of it as a fragrance for the mature aromatic blend which falls somewhere between mild and strong. It reminds me an orange mixed with the warm musky scent of an exotic flower. Think of bright silks like a warm sultry sunset, candles burning in a Moroccan styled lantern and a bowl of figs with honey. I have a vivid imagination. Try it if you dare.
