It is an essential element of any collection of works by this famous mathematician, codebreaker and pioneer of computer science.
I also recommend 'The Annotated Turing', by Charles Petzold.
The recent movie 'Imitation Game' starring Benedict Cumberbatch has brought increased attention to the work of this pioneer of computers.
I believe like Sara Turing (his mother) that Alan's death was not a suicide, despite the official findings at the inquest.
Dr. Nelson Beebe's bibliography of Turing is cited in this book as a comprehensive source of material written by and about Alan Turing.
Occasionally, lecture notes and extracts attributed to Alan Turing have been lost to public view in the sixty years since his untimely death.
Alan Turing was a role model for me in my career, encouraged by professors and family members.
