El producto es de lo más completo, constitución sólida y reforzado en los puntos débiles que incluso tiene el accesorio original de Apple. "Universal Power Adapter with Interchangeable Plugs
Combining an AC charger and universal power adapter to charge nearly any USB device, the AmazonBasics Travel Adapter Kit provides interchangeable plugs for North and South America, Taiwan, Japan, Europe, China, Middle East, Russia, United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand"
Believe the pictures, not the product text. Product would have been useful had the stated adapter plugs been included.
The base unit itself is lightweight but appears to be well made and the components fit together easily. The car adapter is a little short, but is serviceable.
The iPod USB A/30-pin cable is well made. It is about 51 inches long, which is 10 inches longer than the one supplied by Apple. Apple's cable works well, but is just a little short for me, so the fact that this cable gives a little extra slack is an advantage. The nylon bag is also quite well made and easily holds all the components.
Interchangeable plug adapters are supplied for various countries. These snap into the base AC converter unit with a quick, clockwise turn and can be removed with the press of a button and a counterclockwise turn. Ostensibly, the base unit determines the native DC voltage and scales it down to USB charging standards or in the case of the US converts AC to DC voltage that conforms to USB standards.
The interchangeable adapters are as follows:
USA/Japan: (Type A plug)
Germany/France: (Type C/E/F plug)
Mainland China: (Type A plug--w/o holes and with shorter blade than USA/Japan)
United Kingdom: (Type G plug)
Note, that although the adapters are named by countries, the utility of this travel kit is probably not restricted to those that are specifically mentioned. For example, the adapter marked `Germany/France' is a Type C adapter and could likely be used in many other European, Middle Eastern, Asian, and South American countries. In spite of the many countries represented by the 4 plug types, there are others out there as well. Sadly, there is no information on whether you can purchase other, compatible plug types that can be used with the unit. Still, the provided plug adapters do provide a wide array of options abroad.
The converter is flexible enough to convert American AC current or local DC (from 100-240V/50-60Hz) to USB standards. There are a number of websites that can tell you the plug type and the voltage for a given country. So long as you have the correct plug type and the voltage fits within the limits of the converter, you are good to go.
This appears to be an excellent travel unit for charging USB devices.
Below, I have copied information regarding plug types from a web site. Before going to a given country, you should: (1) confirm the plug type; and (2) confirm the voltage/hertz of the current supplied to make sure that it is compatible with the unit.

A bag to keep the items secured
This travel kit is excellent for those that are on the move and do not always carry a computer or iPod charger. Prior to getting these I got one of those regular AC adapters which worked great, however, charging my iPods while honeymooning in Argentina was a nightmare as I had to have the hotel clerks look and find an adapter I could use for my AC adapter to fit (in a flight of over 14 hours I do need my iPod!) This kit resolves that problem by offering an AC adapter with four interchangeable plugs covering, according to Amazon, more than 150 countries. The plugs are easy to switch and overall the AC adapter feels well made and of quality. I have used this with two iPods, 5th and 6th generation, and found no problem whatsoever.
Included is a small bag that serves its purpose well to accommodate all the items in this kit. But what I really liked the most was the USB car charger . I can say I only use my iPod in my car, it is rare for me to use it in the office or at home (the headphones are still in their box!) With that said, the adapter allows me to charge and use my iPod on the road!
A great kit for the price, if this is what you need, I see the USB charger as a plus as the main focus of this product is obviously to provide and AC Adapter to be used in countries different than the US.
So why would I recommend the Apple kit? Mainly because I own an iPad and if I need to, I can take my 10W iPad charger and attach the socket modules from the World Travel Module. And I have a Mac, and I can use the same socket modules on my MacBook's charger. It's much more flexible, and the combined power plug is smaller and more conveniently placed in a socket than the bulkier Amazon unit. Similarly, I wouldn't use the Amazon car charger because I like having the flexibility of iPad support, so I purchased a separate 2.1 Amp car charger. The build quality of the Apple kit is also better, and changing modules is simpler.
In the past, I've had problems with car chargers rated at below 2 Amps, although the Amazon 1.0 Amp charger seems OK. It kept its cool even when I gave it a workout of playing music while showing the satellite map of my GPS location on my iPhone 4. Pretty good. Nice to keep in my bag for emergencies.
The charging cable is nice. In the past some 3rd party iPhone cables have included a locking mechanism, and I'm glad Amazon did not; was always forgetting about it and yanking my whole phone by accident. The cable has a good heft, and worked fine both charging and syncing.
In summary, a nice product which cannot compete in flexibility with the competing Apple product.
