The keyboard is extremely slim and barely weighs anything. It is also very comfortable to write with if you own a mac or are at least used to the Mac's keyboard. Also, it connects almost instantly the moment you press a key if you had your iPad's bluetooth off.
The battery life on this thing has to be the best thing about it. This thing lasts forever I think... I haven't charged since I got it 3 days ago. Mind you, I have been using it every day for class. Uses have been extensive since it is a programming class so I am amazed how long it has lasted.
*Micro USB charging
Gotta love this.
This part was fairly hard to identify but if I had to say that anything is bad with this keyboard it would be the lack of a backlight. For this price though.. It is way worth it!
Also the stand on the keyboard is magnetic. Even though it's not that sensitive and it is fairly strong you have to be careful if you use it on your lap while in bed. In other words, the keyboard is best for desk use. (Don't let this be the reason you don't buy this keyboard)
So the iPad Air sits in the Anker's cradle fairly securely, and then will fold over (but not stay shut like the Logitech) with the magnetic hinge at the back of the keyboard unit. The keyboard feels just OK, and I was having problems getting inadvertent letters from my fingers accidentally hitting other keys.
For the price, this is a very adequate solution to have an bluetooth keyboard to make your iPad Air more functional. If you have more money, though, I would invest in a unit which stays shut when you fold it over to make a protective folio. However, because of the design flaw with the Logitech, which I rated with one star, avoid that fabricskin folio unit.
1) There is a large "gap" when closing the two together - so much that it wiggles and feels unsupported when transporting.
2) I had purchased a back skin cover for the iPad (back and corners) since the keyboard would only be covering the other side. I bought a super thin back skin; however, when the skin is on, the iPad doesn't work in the slot to hold the iPad while typing in either landscape or vertical. I HAVE to have protection on the back and corners since I have a 3 year old who will be using the iPad and I think it is unrealistic to have to take it on and off just to use the keyboard function.
Good things about the keyboard - it is very slim and lightweight, so it doesn't add any bulk to the already thin iPad Air. The cost is also great, you can't beat it. If you buy this keyboard, just have the expectation that it DOES NOT work with a back skin so you will have an uprotected iPad Air when using the keyboard slot holder.
