Espectaculares.

I have been using Beyerdynanmic headphones for over a decade now. From fairly expensive studio cans to walkaround headphones to portables to broadcast. In fact, I have very few brand alliances, but Beyerdynamic has never let me down. My T50s are still my go-to daily driver phones, and I've been thinking of getting a new pair just to have as spares.

But I bought the 160s just to have at work and for listening to tunes when I'm waiting for something. The bus. Armageddon. The Knicks making the playoffs. Usual stuff. The 160s are a huge step up for your fifteen dollar earbuds. Good volume, the look snazzy, they sound isn't hyped to one end of the audio spectrum, and the cables seem to be of very good quality. I also liked the wide range of reasonably comfy ear pieces included.

For the money, they're a fine piece of kit. Wouldn't trade in my 200 ohm reference cans, but for walking around they are delightful. Mic works pretty well too.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas These ear-buds are AMAZING!!! 10 de abril de 2015

I used my phone with them and the cell phone sound did them no justice. I plugged them into my external 32-bit sound card and pure heaven.... You can easily think these or any high end ear-bud is not good when it is really your phone's hardware. Test them in more than one device because you will see what this product really has to offer,

4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Very good headphones for every day and active use. 21 de junio de 2015

I have owned a lot of high end in-ear headphones over the years (Klipsch, Shure, Sennheiser, Bose). I wear them daily, 2 to 5 hours per day, usually while riding the bus and hiking. I bought these after my Klipsch x7i died two months ago (I loved these for their clarity and recommend them and the x11i. The cables are sensitive to damage though). I use the supplied Comply medium sized foam tips and the short cable (Shure is the only other company that I know of who has manufactured headphones with a short cable. I have always liked them because they are easy to store and don't tangle). My iPhone is usually in my shirt pocket and the cable length is just right. People taller than average height may have to use one of the two supplied extension cables.

Over all, I am very happy with these headphones. The Comply foam tips do a great job isolating the noise on the bus, and I never have to reseat the buds in my ears, and my ears are always comfortable. In these regards, these are the best in ear headphones that I have ever used.

Another big plus about these is the cable construction. First of all, they are flat, which means no wind noise, and they do not tangle as easy as round cables. Flat cables will usually untangle with a shake too. Secondly is the 45° angle of the connector. When you first look at them, you wonder why they did that? Why not go straight up like everyone else? You learn why the first time you stick your phone in your pants pocket. That 45° angle actually protects the cable from damage. This is how most of my headphones have died, from the repetitive stress on the cable at the connector. I don't see these having that problem ever.

They could have made the controls a bit more tactile. You cannot see them, so you have to feel for them. I usually take a second or two to orient myself before I use them.

The extra cables and adapters can come in real handy. There are two extension cables, a VOIP phone adapter cable, and a Y connector for sharing your port.

Audio clarity and range is pretty good, but not quite as clear as my Klipsch were. These have better bass than the Klipsch, but the highs and mids are not quite as good. To get the best out of them, you will have to use the equalizer (Settings - Music - EQ). I have mine set to Late Night and I like the sound. The sound is very close to what you get when you are at a bar or a club, which I personally like. There is an app called CanOpener where you can address any sound issues. I recommend that if you really want to open these up.

The bass reproduction with these was a real surprise. When the drummer's foot petal comes down, you really, actually feel it. I have never had a set of in-ear headphones do that. I quite like it!

If you are a heavy user like me, I recommend them. The short cable makes them easy to store and they do not tangle. The Comply tips are fantastic! And all the extra cable bits may be of use.

Update: I have had these for several months now. I continue to use them very heavily and they are doing very well. The Comply ear buds are a bit worn and I just ordered the Comply Tx-400s in size Large to replace the size Mediums that shipped with the headphones.

I have read some of the other reviews where people were having problems. I have not had any problems with Siri or the cables. I have had no problems with the headphones at all.

Love it, Period!
Clarity Clarity and Clarity...you can hear even the water droplets in the background music! It gave a touch competition to my $300 Over the Ear Bose QC 3 headphone and i think surpassed it as well in clarity department. Definite recommendation.

Not sure why some people have complained about wire being flimsy or thin. I don't find it that way, it has been designed as to be portable and fit into small place, the Case it comes with is so cute and small!!

The overall build quality is very good.
Multiple options for the right fit.
Super Sound quality.

Just Buy it....you won't regret a penny.

I've been using less than perfect sports oriented ear buds too long. Not to mention the horrible apple Iphone earbuds.

These sound phenomenal!
Like I eluded, I'm not an audiophile but these have helped me rediscover music and enjoy it thoroughly. Ya, that's how good they are. I couldn't go to sleep last night because I wanted to listen to music. Enough said on sound quality.

I ditched my Iphone for a Priv, I don't know if the cord control works. I generally use wireless earbuds. I was forced to buy these for use on the treadmill at Equinox. EQX charges enough, you'd think they'd get with the times and have wireless features for the Tread and Shed class.wtf
...continuing the review.
I'm not really thrilled about the cord extension but doesn't seem to effect the sound quality. I don't know when I would use the short cord by itself??

The case is nice...all the various (ear) tips sizes should please everyone. lol

The flat cord does keep them from getting tangled easily.

The price is right. I know they have a newer model out, the iDX 200..but I can't imagine them being worth $120 more than these.

I'm really happy with them. I'm sure you will too.
