Espectaculares.

4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Very good headphones for every day and active use. 21 de junio de 2015

I have owned a lot of high end in-ear headphones over the years (Klipsch, Shure, Sennheiser, Bose). I wear them daily, 2 to 5 hours per day, usually while riding the bus and hiking. I bought these after my Klipsch x7i died two months ago (I loved these for their clarity and recommend them and the x11i. The cables are sensitive to damage though). I use the supplied Comply medium sized foam tips and the short cable (Shure is the only other company that I know of who has manufactured headphones with a short cable. I have always liked them because they are easy to store and don't tangle). My iPhone is usually in my shirt pocket and the cable length is just right. People taller than average height may have to use one of the two supplied extension cables.

Over all, I am very happy with these headphones. The Comply foam tips do a great job isolating the noise on the bus, and I never have to reseat the buds in my ears, and my ears are always comfortable. In these regards, these are the best in ear headphones that I have ever used.

Another big plus about these is the cable construction. First of all, they are flat, which means no wind noise, and they do not tangle as easy as round cables. Flat cables will usually untangle with a shake too. Secondly is the 45° angle of the connector. When you first look at them, you wonder why they did that? Why not go straight up like everyone else? You learn why the first time you stick your phone in your pants pocket. That 45° angle actually protects the cable from damage. This is how most of my headphones have died, from the repetitive stress on the cable at the connector. I don't see these having that problem ever.

They could have made the controls a bit more tactile. You cannot see them, so you have to feel for them. I usually take a second or two to orient myself before I use them.

The extra cables and adapters can come in real handy. There are two extension cables, a VOIP phone adapter cable, and a Y connector for sharing your port.

Audio clarity and range is pretty good, but not quite as clear as my Klipsch were. These have better bass than the Klipsch, but the highs and mids are not quite as good. To get the best out of them, you will have to use the equalizer (Settings - Music - EQ). I have mine set to Late Night and I like the sound. The sound is very close to what you get when you are at a bar or a club, which I personally like. There is an app called CanOpener where you can address any sound issues. I recommend that if you really want to open these up.

The bass reproduction with these was a real surprise. When the drummer's foot petal comes down, you really, actually feel it. I have never had a set of in-ear headphones do that. I quite like it!

If you are a heavy user like me, I recommend them. The short cable makes them easy to store and they do not tangle. The Comply tips are fantastic! And all the extra cable bits may be of use.

Update: I have had these for several months now. I continue to use them very heavily and they are doing very well. The Comply ear buds are a bit worn and I just ordered the Comply Tx-400s in size Large to replace the size Mediums that shipped with the headphones.

I have read some of the other reviews where people were having problems. I have not had any problems with Siri or the cables. I have had no problems with the headphones at all.

I'm giving these three stars. I was going to be more harsh, but these do have some redeeming qualities.
Build quality, so far, seems good. I know there have been some issues in the past, but the manufacturer seems to be standing behind the product there. The design is good, I have no problem unlike others with the cord setup. I like it.
That said, I'm not sure about the audio quality here. Bass is clean and the treble is nice, but the mids are pretty muted and overall vocals on many songs seem very recessed. In order to hear lyrics clearly, you have to crank these up and run the risk of hearing damage. After an hour or two of listening, I was perplexed as to why these high end earbuds seemed, at least to me, to have such poor midtone performance, so I popped in some of my old Apple earbuds. In comparison the Apple earbuds have more pronounced vocal performance but they did help me appreciate the more broad quality of the Beyers. The Apple buds lack clarity overall compared to these despite being able to hear vocals better.
All this said, I believe that my old Klipsh earbuds sounded better overall. I'm disappointed with the volume and midtone performance on these Beyers.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Fantastic Set of IEM's! 8 de marzo de 2016

The Beyerdynamic iDX 160 iE's are top line IEM's. I'm a big fan of the Beyerdynamic sound and these deliver with same quality and sound that you would expect from Beyer, except in the IEM form. They have good soundstage, which is a characteristic of the Beyer sound. The mids are just right and the highs, which can be too high sometimes, delivers good crisp sound that isn't muddy or confined. The bass is right about perfect for an IEM of this quality. It is right, on time, and accurate. I have a pair of RHA M750i if I want a more bass heavy set of IEM's.

They come with a multitude of ear tips, even foam ones, so there should not be a problem getting an accurate fit. The volume control and pause button works splendidly, along with the other accessories in the box. I am a total fan of this set, and I highly recommend them!

These are my daily IEMs, but they struggle with microphonics.

Pros: Awesome full sound with wide frequency range that really hits in the lower end. Comes with Comply tips that ensure a great fit.
Cons: Overly long cable that make a ton of noise until you secure it or ignore it. Poor call quality through microphone. I hold it up to my mouth during calls, which is sometimes frustrating.
