Others online suggested that you could "glue" the earbuds on. SuperGlue did not wok. Gorilla glue did not work! Silicone did not work. Epoxy did not work! Then after a month the charge light would not come on. Company's 'Support' (a questionable term with this company) sugggested a different cable even though the one used worked fine with other products. Anyway, new cable did not help, but plugging and unplugging and plugging and unplugging over and over again finally did. Then the "waterproof" silicone wrapping began to come off and the little cover for the power socket no longer closed.
And as for the sound quality? Excellent! At least it is when the earbuds are in place and if you can charge the unit enough to use it. Oh, and BTW, the company now says they have no record of my contacts with them. Bad company with obnoxious people trying to defend a poorly designed product. CONCLUSION: unless you like to produce excess stomach acid, stay away!
also the battery is not 8 hours. it is only 5 hours and last hour it starts beeping every 5 min. to warn you about battery which is annoying
i think it is not for Gym Rats
UPDATE: After purchasing atleast half a dozen different pairs of bluetooth headsets for the same price as blueant, i have to say i STILL LOVE Y BLUEANT PUMP! I will buy a pair of every color and keep them sealed in there box for future use, as I have never used anything this comfortable and with such amazing sound quality. These headphones are flawless and my favourite. I hope they stay in the market for many many many years to come.
I am extremely happy with the purchase of this product. I just wish it came with a pouch and not sold seperately as I pay around 10 dollars for international shipping.
Over all I can't complain at all as I got exactly what was expected from Blueant.
Great job! keep it up!
I contacted customer service at first, and at first they were receptive and giving me the steps I needed to do to get a replacement. But they kept delaying the replacement with excuses, saying the product is en route to the warehouse and then will be shipped, or there is a back order on it and it might take longer. It is now over two months since contacting Blue Ant's customer service and I am giving up on them. I think the idea was to hope that the customer moves on and forgets about it. Which is what I'll do, but I just wanted to give potential customers a warning first.
First, the actual earbud rubber slides off of the unit and falls out because there is zero retention. It's literally sitting on the slick stem of the earpiece. Terribly annoying, and I'm always worried if it's not in my ear, they will fall on the ground. Just taking them out is likely to allow the earbud rubber to pop off and fall on the ground. It happens every time.
Second, the little protruding supports that stem from the earbuds split. Every single replacement split after a few weeks, leaving sharp plastic slivers digging into my ear skin where the rubber used to be mated to the now razor sharp plastic.
Third, the right earphone seems to only play at half volume. I've never gotten it wet, and I see no reason why it should fail in less than a year when I baby these things.
Last, the controls require you to push the phones which pulls them out of a comfortable position in your ear.
Oh, and it will skip two songs in a row, which is infuriating when it starts playing that song you really love, and then skips a few seconds after you've already stopped pressing the button.. No other headphones I have will do this.
Battery life is good enough for me.
They look good, and are relatively compact.
Meh. I took care of them and they're still failing me.
