Delivery with prime was quick (ordered Monday + arrived that Wednesday) and it took my husband maybe 15 minutes to assemble this solo without issues.
I love how thick the pads are and how sturdy the construction is. I can step up on this with confidence and lift heavy without fear. It's also SO easy to change slants on the fly compared to my former bench that used a locking pin mech (which eventually bent making the bench nearly unusable - won't use those again!).
Some have written about quality issues but so far I haven't had a problem. The gap some reviews refer to between the back and the seat when in a flat position hasn't posed a problem for me at 5'4". I merely move up the bench since it can accommodate quite a tall individual.
The only drawback I've had is the wheels are pretty useless on this with carpet. Our carpeting is low pile though, so pushing/pulling it into place isn't too bad. On our hardwood floors though, the wheels work adequately.
Overall, solid bench for any home gym!
-Sturdy, everything looks and feel like quality materials that will last years.
-Easy assembly, it took about 15-20 minutes to put everything together and was very easy to do.
-Great packaging, I had 2 day shipping and when it showed up the box was destroyed. I'm guessing that it gets dragged and pushed and shuffled around any way the UPS guys can since its heavy, but I think they expect that because once opened the box everything was in perfect condition and each part was tightly, individually wrapped.
-Efficiently adjustable, it's easy to move from incline to flat to decline quickly in the middle of working out. I bought the 552 adjustable dumbbells as well and together I can do a lot of different work outs without having a whole gym at my disposal.
-Wide bench, compared to wobbly, skinny benches at the gym this one is much wider which is nice for a guy so you don't feel like have of your body is hanging off each side. My whole back fits on the bench which is comfortable and keeps my back straight to lower any chance of injury.
-Lower back gap, some others have mentioned that there is a gap on the bench where it bends which can feel a little strange on your lower back. It would be nice if it wasn't such a big gap but it is well padded and is more something to get used to that something that is uncomfortable or impedes anything.
-Wheels don't roll, others have also mentioned this, the wheels don't roll unless you left one end up way high so that the stoppers aren't touching the ground. I would rather have this than a bench that moves when you are working out.
Recommendation: Yes, I would recommend this bench to anyone looking for one. It's great quality and something that will last a long time.
Cons: The wheels at the head end aren't big enough to make moving it around super easy
Overall a great bench for the price! I bought it for $200 on Amazon and the lowest I saw it advertised was for $250. I'm 5'8", 180lbs and my workouts consist of powerlifting, crossfit, plyometrics, and traditional weightlifting; this bench accomodates all of that. I've had 315 in weight plus my body weight on it and there's no wobbling or stability issues. You can sit on it perpendicular and do leg raises with no issues. The padding is sufficient. It's not as much as you see at some commercial gyms but those benches cost $500+ and, as I stated, this bench is perfectly fine with what it has. Highly recommend this bench!
