Reseña del editor
Buried in the red soil of the Oklahoma prairie is a secret only Charlie McDonagh can fully reveal. Charlie is an ordinary man who is witness to extraordinary events and people. A stone statue of a striking young woman, broken into a hundred pieces is uncovered from the dirt of a remote location-a broken statue representing shattered lives and shattered dreams. The story of the statues is one of love, greed, betrayal, power, and crushed aspirations. The statue symbolizes what was and what could have been. A tale of a great oil empire betrayed, destroying the lives of the family who built it. An intriguing story based on the real-life legacy of the Marland Mansion and the statue still located within its walls. --Este texto se refiere a la edición Tapa blanda .

Bob Perry captures the rugged and unique characters that fueled explosive growth during the gilded age of the early oil boom in Oklahoma. down until I had finished reading the whole book! The historic information and
the characters were supposed to be fictional, but it coincided with actual history and people so that it made it really exciting. I would highly recommend it to any one, especially history buffs, interested in early days of Oklahoma.
Bob Perry has several other books, and we purchased them at a book signing prior to purchasing
The Broken Statue from Amazon. They were all great!!!!
