4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas like weekly? at that price 21 de febrero de 2016

stans was only functional for a few weeks before separating within the tyre, leaving webbed strings and a pool of nasty brown liquid (hot and very humid here).
stans support "buy more, add more often" ..what, like weekly? at that price! and add a ton of weight/brown liquid?! dont think so.
stans failed me on a 1mm thorn after two weeks, with more than the recommended amount, lost most of the air (2.4" high volume) before it slowly sealed, no signs of other punctures.

anyways, new non ust tioga psycho tyre, once popped into place sealed instantly, no soap and water needed. barely losing psi if left for days (stans/ardents lose a lot).
its thicker than stans (dont know why the other guy claims its thin), once cured its a whole lot tougher, and feels like rubber. inspires confidence. and yes messy because it sticks, stans peels off much easier.

i'll give it a few months but its meant to handle humidity/temps better. so far i dont doubt that.

I cannot vouge for this in mountain bike tires as a replacement for Stan's, because I haven't tried to use it for that. What I can say is that it works very well as a sealant for road tubular's. I got a nice flat at my last race and didn't want to pay $100 for a new tire, so I bought some Caffelatex, put it in through the valve using the injector which you can purchase separately, inflated, spun and banged the tire around a bit and flat tire has been solved. If I had this stuff in a race it would have saved my race , enough said in my opinion.

While I'm not hesitant to use stan's in my tubeless setups, tubulars have more sensitive latex tubes inside of them. Caffelatex is a product you can both put in and largely forget about drying out (said to last 1-2 years in a tubular), and not worry about it degrading your rim. Plus with the injector it is relatively mess free, even when injecting through a presta valve.

1.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas I wanted to like this product 23 de agosto de 2015

I wanted to like this product. I have seen complaints about Stan's sealant oxidizing wheels, and this product has a lot less (almost no) ammonia smell so I thought it might be safer on wheels than Stan's.

Today I unmounted a few different tires. One rim had oxidation inside and it had only been used with Cafe Latex so far.

Two other tires were the exact same model tire on the same rims. One had been mounted with Stan's in April 2012 (a little over 3 years ago) the other had been mounted with Cafe Latex in June 2014 (a little over 1 year ago). The tire with Stan's still had liquid sealant inside that likely would have sealed any punctures. The tire with Cafe Latex only had chunks of dry sealant stuck to the tire and rim and would not have sealed any punctures. The Stan's sealant cleaned up with just some water, the Cafe Latex is going to need to be removed from the tire with a wire brush or sand paper or something. The bigger chunks tore off, but it's a lit of dried sealant in there.

As such, I can't really recommend this brand over Stan's even though I really wanted to like it, both because I like to be different than everyone else and because it smells better. It doesn't work better and using it did not prevent oxidation on the rims.

We live in an area where we have lots of bicycle tire-destroying goat heads. The kids always had to air up tires before they could go for a ride, and I finally had enough of it to take a chance on this stuff. This sealant is designed for tubeless tires, but I went ahead and just put it into the tubes we had... I aired them up the day I put the sealant in, then the next day.... we have not had to put air in the tires in the last 6 months! Fantastic! I'm hooked on this stuff.

I really like this sealant and have actually had better luck with it than Stan's. My only issue is since it's thinner than Stan's it dries out much quicker down here in the dry Southwest. But as long as I do a refill every so often I've been fine. It's gotten me out of a few sidewall cuts in the last few months alone.
