3.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Quality control problems w/ Analog 17 de septiembre de 2014

I really like the watch, however Casio's quality control is failing on the analog portion, which I depend on. Their customer service folks are non-responsive. I have sent it in twice to correct the analog problems, last time they sent me e new watch with the same exact problems. The customer service folks have yet to respond.

2.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Casio watches aren't what they used to be 16 de septiembre de 2013

Until recently I had been a huge fan of Casio watches. I've owned several Casio's over the years and they had all been great, except for this one. The quality of their current models doesn't seem to be as good as that of models from years' past.

First gripe - the analog portion doesn't always keep accurate time. The digital part works correctly but if it is displaying the date, then you can't trust analog part to show the correct time.

Second gripe - is a ticking noise that is sometimes present. I don't mind a ticking noise but what does bother me is an inconsistent ticking noise. Sometimes I hear it, sometimes it is silent. Whenever I hear it ticking, that's when the analog portion seems to run slow.

Third gripe - No illuminated display. The glow-in-the-dark pieces on the face allow you to tell the time but for only 20-30 minutes.

It's a good looking watch but lacks the quality that Casio once had. Time to shop for another brand. The Sturhling's seem to review well.

3.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Decent blacked-out watch w/ minor caveats 31 de octubre de 2012

This watch has met or exceeded almost all my expectations for quality, reliability and features. The digital and analog clocks are separately set, supporting three time zones (ex. analog, digital and digital 'DL'), and all keep accurate time. There is a twenty beep alarm and two beep hourly notices. The hourly alarms are synchronized to the first digital setting. The bidirectional bezel is clicks along smoothly and generally stays put. Occasionally I'll ding it against a wall or table and afterward notice it is a click or two off 12. I cannot comment on the original band's durability, however Armor-All or other protection is suggested to extend the original band's life. I immediately replaced the factory band with a nylon 22mm Zulu NATO.

This is a sport watch, not a tactical watch. The hands, bezel and roulette wheel styled face markers are ALL mirror polished and very shiny (bling), not brushed or satin finished. It is designed to catch people's eye despite the blacked out case and face. The face markers and hands are illuminated, but not very large and last only briefly. If you need a watch for night or low-light activities select an tritium or electroluminescent (Timex Indiglo or Casio Illuminator) watch or carry a light source for quick lume recharges.

Casio's AMW320 series offers multiple case and face styles at very affordable prices. Later, I purchased a Casio AMW320R-1EV and a MDV-106D-1A1VDF. The AMW320R-1EV provides better, but still limited, night visibility with all the same great ana-digi features. The MDV-106D is analog only, but the illumination is incredible (+8 hours) and it has a metal band. For the money, you can afford to purchase more than one Casio.

UPDATE: After purchasing a SEIKO ProspEx model, the Casio watches are all in a drawer. My brother likes them, so I gifted a few to him.

Bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift. He works in law enforcement and needs the dual time feature. He had a cheaper brand and the band broke and it just didn't hold up. This one looks nice while still being sturdy. He likes it a lot. I recommend this watch without hesitation.

the second hand kept stopping at 10 seconds till the hour-like it was stuck-this is the exception for these watches though, ive been wearing one color face or anouther for 20 somthin years and this is the first to have problems-replaced others cause it got hard to find someone to do it right, most of the time they'd leak after a while w/new battery, watch is sharp as a tack, i just finally got a bad one after all these years/jw
