This is a great product whether you have one or two hands. As someone who has one hand, this product is invaluable to me as I cook in the kitchen. This is a replacement of an older model that stopped working after 8 years. I have bought two can openers so that I have a second one when it is needed.

This is a great product that opens cans easily and allows the top to be removed with the attached magnet.

I give this 5 stars and advise everyone who cooks to buy one.

I have nerve damage in my right hand and traditional can openers have always been difficult for me. I've tried the battery operated can openers, but on two occasions the battery died while in use and it was incredibly difficult to separate the can from the opener.

I bought this model not expecting much, but for the price I figured it was worth a shot. The first time I used it I was amazed at how fast, clean and efficient it was. It's simply a matter of opening a hinge mechanism (via a convenient thumb button) and placing it over the lip of can's lid. Then simply squeeze the handle about ten times and the lid is seperated. No jagged edges or sharp burrs either. You get a nice clean cut.

The EzSqueeze looks like it would be for Right handed people only, but it's absolutely easy to use with your left hand as well. If you can make a fist, you can open a can. And, believe it or not, it's even easier to use and faster than traditional can openers for people who have use of both hands. I'm actually surprised that this isn't used by more people.

Got this because I am in a cast on my dominant arm. Can't believe how well it works! Well I can't believe it especially after I figured out what I was doing wrong. Just in case this will help someone else: in order to get the can opener to bite into the can you have to press the button on the twisty handle part. This is actually the hardest thing to do with one hand. Once the can opener is completely open it's a one-handed operation to attach it to the can and get the lid off. Great invention!

Dear Inventor,
THANK HEAVENS!!! At last a 'thinking' person has made life easier for the slightly handicapped. As an Octogenarian stroke-survivor who has only one arm/hand, the EzSqueeze one-handed can opener is a miracle. As a person living alone, I had to rely on using only those products with 'flip-top' lids! NOW I can open ANY can....what a 'God-send'. At first I had to learn to operate it left-handed, but quickly met with success. Sincerely, A Grateful Consumer

2.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Not what we hoped for 24 de junio de 2012

My wife has some arthritis in her hands and was finding it difficult to operate our can opener, an older Swing-Away made in the USA, not the current ones made in China that are junk. We thought we had found a solution with this opener but it is useless for her. Although you don't turn a knob you must use a repetitive squeezing motion that is worse for arthritis pain. It does not grip the can well and slips easily.

I can see that this may be a solution for someone who has a totally disabled hand but the can must still be held in some manner or you get a sloppy mess from spillage. Best to open the can in the sink. Even better would be to stay away from this opener.
