4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Clarity Amplified Phones are Quality Products 31 de marzo de 2015

Did a lot of research on amplified phones for my 93 year old mother that is hard of hearing, easily confused, and is unwilling to get a hearing aid. That being said, at 93 your phone is your life line to the outside world and I wanted her to be able to use , hear the phone ring, hear the conversation, and feel at ease about calling out on her phone. This is the phone in her bedroom. This is easy to use, volume to hear conversation better is on the side of handset. Ringer is loud and also red light blinks. The dial pad has large lit numbers and phone will work if electric is out. The only negative is the short cord from handset to cradle. We also have a Clarity P-300 phone in her living room that has been excellent. Has large number and best of all 6 or 8 auto dial numbers for family and front desk at her assisted living complex that has come in handy quite often.

4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Fortunately, the replacement works fine 13 de febrero de 2016

I purchased one of these for my elderly mother, who is losing her hearing. I had tried several other models first, but this was the first model that worked for her. Thus, I purchased a second for another room in her house and that unit arrived DOA. Fortunately, the replacement works fine.

1) There is a volume "wheel" on the handset that is easily moved. That may not seem like an issue for most folks, but it is a challenge for an elderly person with poor vision. Given that my mother doesn't notice when she inadvertently lowers the volume while using the handset, I have considered either gluing it or taping over it. A wheel with positive "click stops" for volume levels would have been nicer.

2) The real increased volume occurs when you hit the "boost" button, which you must do each time you answer the phone. I suspect lawyers made that decision.

On the positive side, she can hear callers now, so I'll only hold one star back for the annoyances...and my 33% DOA rate.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Clarity C 200 phone 17 de febrero de 2014

I received the Clarity C 200 Phone promptly and in good condition. I have used it very little, so cannot comment on
how long it will last. However; it appears to be well made and functions correctly. The boost switch has a "solid"
feel and the "boost" works. I have moderate hearing loss and can hear nicely with maximum boost. I find that I must
have the ear-piece tight against my ear or I get feed-back, which I consider a normal situation. The ringer is LOUD.
I wish it were adjustable instead of just "on or "off"; but it is as advertised. The C 200 is line powered; therefore, it
requires no batteries or AC, and will work if the power is off, which is one reason I ordered it. I keep it between my
computer tower and monitor on top of my desk. That way; if I need to talk to someone while trouble-shooting,I can.
I have read some reviews that complained that the keypad lighting was not bright enough. I have no complaint about
that. After all; one can only draw a limited amount of current from that small line. Overall: I am satisfied with the C 200
and give it five stars.

I bought this phone for my elderly mother who has hearing problems. She has lots of problems using the phone. I happened to use it recently and had the same problems: poor sound quality; intermitant connectivity; people on the other end of the line couldn't hear me but I could hear them; loose connections on the cords and plugs. The phone has some good features such as a sound boost button, but they're poorly executed. This is not a good quality product and if I'd saved the packaging the would return it.

2.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Okay phone but missing some critical features 19 de julio de 2007

I bought this phone for an elderly relative who is both hard of hearing and has memory issues. While the phone does amplify adequately, it requires you to push a boost button every time you receive a call in order to turn on the amplification. This was not acceptable in our situation nor was it mentioned in the description of the product. I called the manufacturer and they told me that their higher end models have an override capability in which you can leave the amplification on permanently. This phone also does not have any speed dial buttons. I had to return this phone and get a different model.
