If you can't tell your Plymouth Superbirds from your Dodge Daytonas, this stout 287-page volume will put you right: it charts all Chrysler's muscle cars families from 1960-74. There are plenty of photographs of each car, including interiors and hemi-filled engine bays, plus specification tables. With so many cars to talk about, the text can't go into a great deal of detail, but it certainly gives a good overview. --Classic Cars, October, 2009--The Complete Book of Dodge and Plymouth Muscle by Mike Meuller is a must own piece for any dyed in the wool Mopar freak. The book focuses all of its energy on the years 1960 through 1974 when Chrysler produced some of the most iconic and powerful iron of the muscle car era. The book is broken into ten sections, each focused on a specific model. The Coronet, Road Runner, Super Bee, and GTX all have their own individual sections, allowing Meuller to deliver detail on each car in a focused manner. Often these type books are devoting paragraphs to each model, here it's chapters. Those chapters are chocked with fantastic photos, most of which Meuller shot himself. Production years are covered one by one so the evolutionary process of each specific model can be followed. Meuller did his research and there's lots of great period road test info and quotes from the media members who were so smitten with many of these cars. This is a hard cover book with a killer interactive cover that featuers a rotating wheel of Mopars. The pages are of a very high quality, thick semi-glossy paper. This book is physically contructed to stand the test of time and it is officially our new favorite Mopar reference book. Christmas is still a decent way off, but if there is someone who owns or loves Mopars in your family, you need to score them this book. It's one of the finest works on the subject we've ever read. --Bangshift dot com, October, 2009--Blimey! This has to be amongst the most comprehensive books on Mopars performance hardware we have ever seen, which makes the asking price all the more remarkable. The cover-mounted 'wheel' - it rotates to revela different pairs of models - is novel although it may not prove particularly hard-wearing, but elsewhere the design is altogether more conventional. there's enough gem here to satiate any muscle car fan. now we're left craving an AAR Cuda... --Octane, November, 2009--To indulge your secret hankering for US V8 machines there's this newley released title. written by Mike Mueller, this book covers everything an enthusiast could ever wish to know - makes and models, variations, car histories, and tech specs. Simply put, pge after page of stunning muscle cars. --Classic Car Weekly, October, 2009

Mueller's effort is well executed and a fine companion to his GM opus. This time the focus is on key Mopar modles form 1960-74, with chapters on barracuda, GTX, Charger et al. The static photos feel familiar, but there's a fair amount of period archive plus spec boxes. Good value. --Classic & Sports Cars, December, 200--To indulge your secret hankering for US V8 machines there's this newley released title. written by mike Mueller, this book covers everything an enthusiast could ever wish to know - makes and models, variations, car histories, and tech specs. Simply put, pge after page of stunning muscle cars. --Classic Car Weekly, October, 2009....You do wonder whether this book is neded when there are already so many 'complete' books that cover the same territory, yet Mueller's effort is well executed and a fine companion to his GM opus. This time the focus is keyMopar models from 1960-74, with chapters on barracuda, GTX, Charger et el. The static photos feel familiar, but there's a fair amount of period archive plus spec boxes. After writing books on GM and Ford muscle acrs, authro Mike Mueller turns his sights to the muscle cars of Chrysler Corp., home of the mighty Hemi V8. Mueller skimps on 50's era Hemi hsitory and Chrysler gets the short end of th stick, but those interested in Dodge or Plymouth will find much to like. While other woarks cover a broader swath of Chrysler history, Mueller's book concentrates on the good parts. For most fans, that will be enough. --Virginia Pilot, december, 2009 The chronicle of Mopar starts with the first hemi V-8 offered in 1951 and deatils Dodge and Plymouth performances through today's Challengers and Vipers. --Automobilia, December, 2009...This lavishly-illustrated work conducts readers through over 50 tears of Mopar performance, form the first Hemi V8 in 1951 to today's fire-breathing, world-beating Chargers, Challengers and Vipers. offering an in-depth look at the speciality packages for street and competition driving that have made mopar performance an automotive legend for more than half a century, it features extensive details on all the cars, technical specs and spectacular photographs - this is the ultimate resource on the muscle car. When you turn the first page and see an ultra-clean '69 Hemi Road Runner doing a huge burnout, you know that what you have in front of you is a book focused on what's important - performance. Right from 1960, this book shows the Dodge and Plymouth landmark cars which helped define the term 'muscle car'. The good thing is that it sticks firmly to the sixties and early seventies era, which means it can go into great depths about the models produced in that time which were specifically designed to wow the performance enthusiasts. Very much one for the Mopar guys, but any muscle car nut could be pround of having this on their bookshelves at home. An ACW must-buy! --American Car World, February, 2010
