4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Compared to Logitech Z313 3 de diciembre de 2015

I really enjoyed this Cyber Acoustics speaker system at first. The main problem that I had with it is that the speakers are top heavy and very easy to knock over. The left speaker finally became too problematic with loud and erratic static at any setting. It may be my fault since I had frequently inadvertently knocked the speakers over when dusting or just moving things around the desk. However, the fragile speakers would be much more stable with a larger base.

The static was the last straw but I had been putting up with the system turning itself on, even to the blue light on the control pad, when the switch was in the off position and the pc was either sleeping or hibernating. The system would emit a low humming sound and the blue light would blink. The reason I chose this system was because of the control pod. I really loved the convenience of the control pod but having the system periodically turn itself on when the switch was set to off made me worry that there could be a short in this system’s wiring.

I'm not an audiophile but I think the sound quality of this system is very good. I liked this system so well while it was working that I even briefly considered replacing it with the same model and trying to construct a new base for the speakers. However, once I saw that the Logitech Z313 system also has a control pod and much better balanced speakers, I decided to purchase that system instead. I can not differentiate between the sounds from either system. The Cyber Acoustics control pod has a bass control on it while the Logitech has only the volume control. I prefer the Logitech system strictly because of the compact and nicely weighted speakers.

1.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Great product for the price, completely absent warranty support 27 de octubre de 2015

I don't write many reviews, but I felt it was necessary for this item. For the price, the speakers fulfilled my needs for a small work office. The sound quality was decent and had no complaints. Unfortunately, after a little more than three months of use the system stopped working. I've tested it with a few different audio sources and power connections. Initially it sounded as if the speakers were underwater, is the best way I could describe it. Now they've cut out completely and i'm getting no sound. I first attempted to contact Cyber Acoustics support through their website, but never received a response back. I received an unhelpful reply via social media, asking if I contacted the support from through the website. They have stopped responding on social media as well.

I've worked in the electronics industry and feel that my expectations are reasonable. Regardless of the price of an item, it's possible for it to be faulty. It could even be faulty right out of the box. I'm okay with this and wouldn't really let it affect my review. But what I do expect is that in the event of a failure, the company provides adequate support/service and honors their warranty.

4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Best Budget Speakers under $40! 28 de agosto de 2015

Okay, so you know you are buying budget speakers paying $40. Out of the box, they sounded horrible when playing anything with heavy bass where the subwoofer becomes super muddy but do not fear. The truth is that they sound amazing when tuned correctly using the computer's own sound effects/enhancements along with the equalizer and set the bass volume dial on the actual wired remote to approximately 2/5 of the way up. On most regular PC builds, you are most likely using some Realtek onboard sound card where I have set the Sound Effect Properties as "Room" and the equalizer as "Soft". This set up provided me clear vocals without the subwoofer being muddy. Hope this helps...

I paid $42 total for these. After I set them up (which were super easy to do), I turned on a song and was instantly blown away by the quality of these. For what they are, they are superb. I highly recommend these!

4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Budget speakers with good performance 27 de julio de 2016
Por Ronald N. Crawford - Publicado en Amazon.com

These are a good value for the price. I'm no sound fidelity nut, but they beat the hell out of the built in speakers of my 40" tv who's seeing use as a computer monitor. I sought these out in particular because I wanted a desktop set that were smallish and fewer in number than my previous 7.1 Logitech surround sound set up that I had. Speaking in sound comparison, the 7.1 did have richer sound with greater variation of instruments and other sound effects (especially when the volume was cranked) but I no longer had the luxury of placement that I did before. In contrast, these deliver about 75% of the same sound quality, but were also 1/5th the price, so that's great value for the performance in my book. The sound is good, but not great. Then again, it's a 2.1 configuration so there is only so much it can deliver and I knew that going in. It stands up to volume fairly well, but at 30 watts one again can't expect too much. In a average sized room, they're fine, but a large open area they will not preform as well especially if there's a lot of background noise like say a gathering of chatty friends or such.

The configuration is also dead simple, 1 line in vs the 3 from before, and its highly portable. The only minor issue I have with these is the controller unit, while its elegant enough with its dial on top, its the on/off switch I find a bit lackluster as it's both recessed enough in the frame to be a bit difficult to get at, and its a somewhat stiff as well. Perhaps over time that stiffness will fade, but it again conforms to the compactness of the units design over all.

In short, for the money, this is a lot of good speaker one is getting.
