I chose this router due to my previous experience with DLink and also the Dual Wan capabitlites it provided.
I recieved the first one in the mail. It would not produce a wireless signal and I could not connect to the GUI to make any modificiations. I contacted DLink, after some troubleshooting, the issue was determined to be hardware related.
I returned the first product and had amazon send another. The second router worked for the first few moments I owned it. I left for errands, came back a few hours later. No Internet signal, and no access to GUI. I couldnt even connect to the console interface.
Contacted DLink, again, it was determined to be a hardware issue. DLink reps were speechless and say they had never seen this before.
DLink should have never let this off the production line. I cant imagine it working at all. What are the odds that two device malfunction in the same way and the issue to be secluded to just these two devices.
A word of warning to anyone thinking about purchasing this product.
After I returned it to Dlink, they sent me another one, then I updated the firmware and it is fine.
Been going for almost a year now and it is still working great.
Every 4 or 5 months I have to reboot it as people keep adding wireless networks to the area, and
hogging up the Wifi Channels. There is no 5GHZ, but it does work well at 2.4 for the lab needs.
I went through a lot of the same things as the people below, but resetting it appeared to work.
The other port is a ROLLOVER port, NOT a bridging port, So if 1 ISP goes dead, the other takes over.
This devices does not Bridge, and never will, it is a PRO-SUMER router, better than a consumer Wifi,
not as good as a professional WIRED cisco. It is however better than the WIRELESS solutions from Cisco for ease of use.
I returned the router to Amazon and they are deliberating as to whether to give me my money back. Now, I am using one ISP and an old Netgear router and we have 100% uptime.
