Summary: Burns at 2.4x - 4x on LG WH10LS30K (in NexStar NX NST-530S2). I haven't had a single issue and have been able to play the media on every blu-ray player that I have tried (Panasonic, Sony, Vizio, Samsung, PS3) Fantastic buy!

This is my first review, I just felt the need to defend these discs. I recently purchased LG's WH10LS30K (Burner), Vantec's NexStar DX NST-530S2 (5.25 External Case) and went searching to the best deal on BD-R 50's. I stumbled across these and was hesitant to purchase at first. There aren't enough reviews, and the ones that are posted are mixed results. I figured why not give it a try and post my results on here.

Using my LG WH10LS30K, I burned all 25 discs flawlessly @ 2.4x-4x. I have since purchased two additional spindles with the same results. I'm buying the 100 pack next time I order to same some extra money. I highly recommend these discs.

If you are having issues with these discs it's more likely an issue with your computer/burner than the discs themselves.

Here are some helpful tips.
- Ensure your drive's FW is updated
- Slow your write speeds. I burn at 4x, sometimes 2.4x (on images over 40GB)
- Set the layer break. Most errors occur as your reach peak write speed and the edge of the disc. Leave 1-2GB of free space on the first layer to prevent this.
- Close unused background applications/processes.
- DO NOT touch, move bump or use your computer after pressing that "Burn" button. Burning large amounts of data takes resources, why risk a $5 disc just so you can check your email or facebook? As soon as you click "Burn", just walk away.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Good for the money.... Just compare prices 27 de mayo de 2013

First off, 50 gigs X 25 discs == 1 terabyte of data that can last for years to come
Hdd == avg lifespan 3-5 years worth of time
Dvds = avg lifespan 5-10 years
Blurays == avg lifespan 20+ years
Also make sure to store the discs properly as putting discs into contact with sun and heat exposure can destroy discs, so don't blame the discs manufactor if the discs stop reading mysteriously
This is user error and always double check your burn software settings before intializing a burn

Secondly, make sure setup your burner first with some cheapy dvds to ensure your settings are right before using the 50gig disc. Remember it's around 3.00 disc that you screw up

Third, the quality of the discs are good as you can actually mark what you have on the discs on the lines.

Don't blame the disc manufactor's if you cant get your burner to burn on the blurays and for god's sake don't let windows try and burn the disc for you. This will probably screw up bluray
Use something like nero or sonic.... These are better burning applications and let you control where you put data on to both layers of the bluray.

Another important reminder is to get a decent bluray burner and not get a piece of junk.... because you will waste blurays with a burner that doesn't work

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas My GO TO company for media 25 de octubre de 2012

DIGISTOR is my go to company when I must purchase blu ray media. The quality of the discs is imperative since they are not cheap and you definitely do not want to waste any when burning your material. If you have the right software, the right settings in your software, the right burner; these things are a sure burn. The quality is superb, the coating is thick and there is plenty of area for writing. I had a question a year ago and they contacted me right away with tips and even which products work best with their media. The prices have dropped considerably since I started to buying these so they are a great bargain. All in all, I have NEVER had any problems with the company or the products they sell. On a side note; my burner is a few years old (latest firmware)and my old hardware is working perfectly with these (Pioneer brand). Remember to research the software you are using and make sure you adjust ALL settings to optimize any burning and to assure a successful copy!!!
4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Potentially Great, But... 28 de septiembre de 2014

I wanted to give this 5 stars, given that DIGISTOR markets this product as a superior solution for long-term storage. The problem I encountered are coasters- just too many of them for me to feel fully comfortable with the product. I used an LG Bluray Writer HL-DT-ST BD-RE BH14NS40 (with the latest firmware) and burned the files off an SSD at 4X. I ordered two 25-Packs and out of those 50 units I had 6 coasters. I'm sure the data integrity is good once the burns are done and validated, its just that getting it there is not as consistent a process as I would like it to be. My next test will be using Verbatim DataLife media as a point of comparison, as those were great for DVD-Rs.

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Very satisfied with Digistor 50GB blank Blu-Ray media 4 de agosto de 2011

I give this product 5 stars. I have burned about half the pack with no problems what so ever. At the same time I have been using Verbatim brand, and Digistor seems to work just as well. I am burning in an internal LG burner, and playing disks on my computer and my Playstation 3 console without any problems. I have been trying both 50GB and 25GB, with both Digistor and Verbatim brands, and I can't tell any difference at this point. I give the same review for single and double layer. As for longevity, well there's no way of knowing at this point which brand holds up better over time. 50 years from now I will update this review and let you know the answer to that question. I'm sure I'll still be alive at 99 years old. Quick Tip: To avoid any potential issues, always burn at about 3/4 maximum speed.
