The instructions say to use glue for the 20+ folded joints to hold it. For a 6yr old, that is a lot of intricate gluing and a lot of waiting for things to dry before doing the next step.
He probably wouldn't be able to play with them very long either because the paper is just a little heavier than resume paper, not boxboard like. He has them on display anyway.
On the plus side, they are very cool looking! My son was very excited and happy to build them. They even have a very few jointed moving pieces.
Much better for an older more patient child who would be gentle with it. Perfect for someone who was already into building plastic or wood models with glue!
- "Biclo" can sit snugly inside his bike seat or can be removed.
- "Polok" has a panel that slides up and down.
- "CMJN" has a head that rotates and extends!
- "Boombox" and "Twitter" have hidden, slide out speakers!
The movement functions are sturdy and don't loosen with regular use, brilliant! These paper robots are great for display or gentle play.
