Reseña del editor
This book gives a detailed introduction into the Eclipse platform and covers all relevant aspects of Eclipse RCP development. Every topic in this book has a content section in which the topic is explained and afterwards you have several exercises to practice your learning. You will be guided through all relevant aspects of Eclipse 4 development using an comprehensive example which you continue to extend in the exercises. You will learn about the new programming concepts of Eclipse 4, e.g. the application model, dependency injection, CSS styling, the renderer framework, the event system and much more. Proven Eclipse technologies like SWT, JFace viewers, OSGi modularity and services, data binding, etc. are also covered in detail. This book requires a working knowledge of Java and assumes that you are familiar in using the Eclipse IDE for standard Java development. It assumes no previous experience of Eclipse plug-in and Eclipse RCP development.

A lot of the pages/text is actually not much more than dumps of dialogues with accompanying text stating little more than the obvious.
Also the English is often lacking, sometimes seriously.
I'm sure Lars Vogel gives good courses on Eclipse subjects. Judging by this text he needs a partner when writing books, and should stay away from self-publishing.
Ass I see it the Kindle version that I bought is worth it's odd $10 as a list of things to do when exploring RCPs on your own. There are also some nice lists of common causes to common problems. I definitively discourage buying this as a printed book costing something like $50. ($50 usually pays for a good to excellent text book from e.g. APress or one in O'Reillys "white animal series".
The author is used to publish many good quality Eclipse tutorials. His older tutorial articles are much better than the new ones. The latest tutorials are hard to follow too. But they can be viewed as an update of this book. Too bad the older tutorials can not be found from the internet.
