The subject matter is quite heavy, but it is very well done. The less said about the plot, the better. Transfer is quite good.
4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Aging Sinatra in a good-old crime thriller 30 de abril de 2014

Murderer is on a loose in New York City. An old detective (Frank Sinatra) is trying to put the pieces together before the killer
strikes again. He is also facing something of a personal tragedy, his wife (Faye Dunaway) is dying from some sort of kidney disease, and spends her days being hospitalized. I would classify this one as dark, crime-thriller-drama, the movie almost seems gloomy. There is not much action here, its mostly dialogue and suspense. I give it 4 stars, only because I felt that the character of the serial killer could have been much more developed.

If you like "The First Deadly Sin" I highly recommend watching Brian de Palma's "Dressed to Kill" from the same year.
3.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Only half the story is not enough 26 de junio de 2015

Most of the time the book is better than the movie, but in this case, I barely recognized the book. The most dramatic part on the mountain peak where Delaney tracks the serial killer out of his jurisdiction with half the NYC police department was left out entirely. It was replaced with boring visits to the hospital to visit Delaney 's ailing wife. Frank & Martin Gabel were memorable in their roles, but I'm sure Lawrence Sanders fans would be disappointed in this poor treatment of what was a truly great novel.

Very good low key performance, in an thriller, by Sinatra in his last film appearance.
