Good size for small office desk
Clock is a nice touch and bonus
Pen holder make this functional as well. Very nice touch
Good for small fish. I have two neons in mine. They are very small.
Faucet filter

Battery install is on the bottom of the tank. If the batteries die you will need to disturb the tank and fish to get to them
USB should have powered the entire device. It would have been nice to have the USB power the clock, lights, etc rather than batteries at all. If it must have batteries, a tray install on the bottom right hand or rear right hand side would make it accessible once it has occupants.
Faucet filter: While I listed this as a pro, the con is that the flow rate is not adjustable and it does disturb the water heavily especially considering the size of the fish you can have in it.
The sounds option is pretty useless considering the quality.

User should be diligent and willing to manually cycle a small percent of the water every 4 to 5 days in my opinion.
Do not leave the faucet filter on full time for certain fish (Bettas for example)
Put the batteries in first (Yes, I made that mistake)

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Perfect for my desk at work 29 de octubre de 2014

The tank is smaller than I thought it would be, but it is perfect for my desk at work. I replaced the brown gravel with a clear one. I put a tiny blue betta fish in it--he's name is Garrus Vakarian II. He seems to really like it, except that every ones in a while he will catch a glimpse of his own reflection and try to attack it.

I would NEVER put a goldfish in there....way too small a tank. I had a goldfish tank a long time ago, and this tank is not suitable for goldfish.

UPDATE: I've had this tank for almost a year now, and it's still going strong. The filtration system is good as new, but the overhead lights are pretty much not working anymore. There's only one tiny LED light left that's fighting for it's dear life, while the rest have sadly passed on. Luckily it's very warm in my office, so the "warming lights" weren't serving much of a purpose. I'm still very happy with this purchase. And yes, Garrus is still alive and continues to fight with his own reflection.

I originally got this because I was hoping to house a couple ghost shrimp in it. I loved the look of it, wanting a clock, and I thought it would be cool to have for the shrimp. The first thing I want to note is what some others have said: This is NOT an appropriate size for ANY FISH. It is a fraction of a gallon. For people asking about betta fish, the cups and small containers places sell the fish in are horrible and lead to a miserable life and early death for the fish. The bare minimum for a betta would be 5 gallons and that's pushing it. I would recommend 10+ gallons. Believe it or not betta fish like to swim and can get along well with certain tankmates, such as the very entertaining African dwarf frogs. Just do your research on the species and their needs to find tankmates. To keep a fish in this is very cruel because of the size alone. Aside from even swimming space, any sort of aquarium needs to be cycled before adding fish. This involves the breakdown of toxic ammonia to nitrate by bacteria. These bacteria establish themselves over time. In a small "tank" like this, there is such a tiny amount of water in it that any rise in ammonia levels (given off by fish) is significant and can easily killed any aquatic pets you have in there. Another thing is the pump in this. It creates a strong current which stresses out the fish and can kill them. You can try to diffuse it like I did but no matter what is stays strong. On to the other parts of this item. I really liked the clock display and I wanted it so I could see it at night. The clock portion is battery only, and it only lights up when you push a button on it. So at night or early morning, when most people want to be able to see their alarm clock you can not see it. The space behind the clock for storage is so small that it is useless for most things except maybe a couple pencils. The sounds it plays are nice though and are the only reason I would feel comfortable even giving it one star. To reiterate, it is way too tiny for ANY FISH, the clock is useless, but the sounds to fall asleep to are good.

This is a great little fish tank perfect for the 16x4.5x1 floating shelf in my office.
I placed my own rocks in the bottom.
So far the Betta is vey happy.
However, the package arrived and when I removed the tank from the box which was covered in plastic, there was no cover to the battery section on the bottom of the tank.
It did still function properly.

I just got my fishtank Wednesday. I purchased it for my dorm. When I opened it, I instantly fell in love with it. It is the perfect size to go in my dorm on my desk. The fish tank looks exactly like the picture. The fish tank is small. I went to the pet store and the lady I talked to is a fish expert and she said that a beta fish can fit in the tank. They can survive in all small spaces like this tank. The faucet on the tank where the water circulates is not loud at all. It's calming to listen to it. The L.E.D lights are very pretty especially when the room is dark. This is very nice for a dorm. It comes with a usb cord but you'll need batteries for the time and everything else. The usb just works for the faucet, l.e.d lights, & over head light. Also the temperature that is below the time it tells you the temperature of the tank.I bought Palm trees to go in my tank because I didn't like the plant that it came with. I ended up not putting a beta fish in my tank because I fell in love with the fish I have in the tank now. Hopefully this review is helpful. I love the tank and it's a great buy!
