awesome figure. plain and simple. The details are spot on and the articulation is easier than some other figures. Snake comes with the signature FAMAS assault rifle and also the SOCOM pistol (with detachable silencer). You can even holster the weapons thanks to the pouches and straps that come with the figure. Two fist shaped hands are also packaged so you can change out the hands to re-create fighting stances or battle stances. I payed more than usual for this figure and I am still extremely happy with this purchase. I will admit that mine had some smudges on the nose and the silencer was warped but all I had to do was gently scratch off the smudge and re-shape the suppressor. With a little patience you can fix any problem you may come across with this figure. I do recommend a figure stand but it does stand well enough on its own. The paint details are fantastic, I played MGS1 back on my old PlayStation and seeing ps1 era snake in his ps1 era sneaking suit is freaking cool. Even the bandanna can be positioned to an extent. I don't know how many of these they will make since they are sold-out on nearly every other website so get it while you can! If you have the money and you're a metal gear solid fan I HIGHLY recommend this figure. If you like action figures or are a figure collector I still highly recommend this figure.

It's a big toy with a lot of flaws "sadly", coming with 2 more hands for the weapons & the weapons is: handgun, machine gun, there's no stand so he can't stand by himself too long besides there's a lot of ways to make him stand, the pieces r very hard to put & to remove, he's not look like the photos exactly & I mean when he hold the guns especially the machine gun besides theres a flaw with the handgun (I'll attach the photo), more expensive than before, 10" tall, nice box, still a good figure because of the details, a little annoying when start the composition, Japanese instructions,
Give it just a 3 stars,
I'll attach all the photos

5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas It is a respectable figure! 13 de noviembre de 2012

This is a figure that is unlike any other. I love Metal Gear Solid Series and this figure is the symbolization of why. The articulation, the rich and fine detail of his sneaking suit.

It comes with his trade mark "SOCOM" pistol with silencer (UNATTACHEABLE) literally in his belt you can either leave it in or hold it.
It also comes with "his" weapon of choice the "FAMOUS" machine gun with a small belt attached which snake can let hang on him or hold with both hands.

Speaking of hands he comes with four two attached to the figure others in the box 2 set closed fist other two open hands.
WARNING - Be careful when removing hands from snake, DON'T pull from the ball joint, instead pull the figured hand WHILE holding the ball joint with the other.

A highly poseable figure that has a lot of different postures and poses to make. For example I have both Solid Snake and Cyborg Ninja in a active fighting pose fighting each other like the Game. AWESOME!!!!!!! :)

Figure may fall over ALLOT if you don't have a stand. You can find Play Arts Kai Stands being sold on line somewhere but its a real chore. If you can't find any, I bought a product called "Obitsu Body" stands on eBay. They can hold mostly all Play Arts Kai figures from 8-11 inches tall you will need them to hold this! Very easy to assemble.

I really find it petty and annoying when people lower a score of a figure just because they didn't know to buy a stand, and complain that it falls easily....
(You mean a figure fall over with out support???? REALLY?!?!?! Well No $H*T)!

HIGHLY Recommended for all Action Figures or Metal Gear Fans.

4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas An almost perfect version of Solid Snake! 8 de febrero de 2013

There are very few video game franchises that are dearer to my heart than Metal Gear. I've been playing the series since Metal Gear came out on the NES back in the 80′s Suffice to say, I'm a huge Metal Gear fan. I was waiting for Snake to come out since Play Arts Kai teased the sculpt of him a few years ago.. now he's here, I have him and he's almost perfect!
Great paint.. great sculpt.. impressive likeness to Yoji Shinkawa's artwork. He loses a half-star for having a bum elbow joint that pops out anytime I pose him.. it's worth mentioning, but keep in mind there's a good chance your's won't have the same issue.

1.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Metal Gear Tumble 28 de agosto de 2012

Square Enix figures are some of the most beautiful on the market once you get over their obvious and many joints. The paint is always decent, the sculpts are pretty awesome (again, allowing for obvious joints littering the sculpt).

However, ever since Square Enix switched the line over from Play Arts to the new "improved" Play Arts Kai you'll notice two things: #1 Improved apparently means way way too heavy and #2 your figures joints aren't engineered to compensate for that bulk. Square Enix figures USED to come with stands, but you rarely needed them. The figures were the perfect plastic density that they were heavy enough to be sturdy but light enough to attain a variety of poses. Now that they don't come with stands, you'll find your figures have shelf dived far far far more often than any figure you spent 60 plus dollars on EVER should. Their new Metal Gear Figures are by far the worst offenders.

Snake is bulky, which seems like a good thing right? Well not when his ankles weaken within the first two weeks of owner ship and he doesn't have a stand. You'll think he's sturdy, you'll test his pose, poking him gently or even shaking the shelf slightly to make sure he's stable. Yet sure enough, a week or so later... BAM. On the floor. And this is not the first Play Arts Kai figure I've had issues with. Gray Fox, the Joker, Halo... they all do it. I'm basically going to have to swear off the company all together. I don't buy figures to add aggravation to my life, they're supposed to be fun, look great, and for $60, STAND or come with a stand since surely they're aware of this problem. I've had conversations with other collectors and a couple of major name shops here in NYC and they all say the same thing: they're beautiful figures, but they're not made very well. They get lots of returns.

All Square Enix needs to do is: lighten up the plastic density and pack stands in with their figures like they used to. That's it. That would solve everything. Until they do, I'm done with them. And its a shame, because I would have bought every Metal Gear figure they made. Now I'll just wait for Hot Toys versions. Sure they'll be more, but they'll also come with stands.
