... before and I thought this one would be a good first timer's toy

I have never flown a plane before and I thought this one would be a good first timer's toy. I took it too a nearby baseball field and within minutes had figured out how to fly and was enjoying myself quite a bit. Even with a decent gust of wind it was still able to maintain speed. The simple manual included was very helpful as well. After I got used to flying, I took it to the lake and started doing stalls and back flips. Before long a crowd of passers by gathered and watched my little Tiger Moth perform a beautiful aerobatics show above the waters at sunset. When I finally did run out of battery I simply glided it in for a landing on the grass, where I was met with a group of people (likely playing Pokemon GO) wanting to know where to get one. By the end of the day I had probably crashed it a dozen times but was as lucky as Harrison Ford in the fact that the plane was durable. It severed the wing structures at the gluing point. I simply glued it back on and it was fine. I crashed into a tree and pushed the prop and motor back a good half inch causing the prop shaft to swing around and gouge out the front apron pretty bad. I re-glued the motor into place and went for a test flight and it was flawless. This plane has been through hell and back in 4 hours and it still flies perfectly. It is the veritable Toyota pickup of starter planes. I am thoroughly impressed with this little red Tiger Moth and can't wait to fly it again. I hope that anyone else reading this that is on the fence will take my word for it and buy one. The ease of flight, the durability, the price and the amount of fun you will get out of this little plane will far exceed your expectations. I highly recommend and would buy again if it were not for me now wanting to buy the Nieuport 17!!

A lot of fun and a great little airplane

A lot of fun and a great little airplane. Should be flown indoors as in a gymnasium by an intermediate pilot. This plane is a little fast for a beginner.

I bought this and a Great Planes simulator to learn RC flying
el 16 de agosto de 2014 - Publicado en Amazon.com
I bought this and a Great Planes simulator to learn RC flying. After some sim practice I took this out for it's first flight and promptly crashed into a tree. Got some foam safe glue and fixed a few things that came undone and was back at it the the next day when a gust of wind flipped it and did some tail damage. More sim practice and another crash. More glue and back in the air. All things considered I love this little plane. It is tough as nails and repairs easily. I fly outside in very light winds and swap batteries when needed for some decent flight time. The batteries charge fast with the charger built into the transmitter. The 4 channel transmitter responds very well and is very versatile as I can reverse the controls and fly an Aircore P-51 that i bought. My skill have improved greatly thanks to this little plane. I'd buy this again.

one of the best of the micros
el 28 de octubre de 2014 - Publicado en Amazon.com
I gave it 5 stars because it is one of the best of the micros. It is a 3 channel airplane. Rudder, elevator, and throttle. For take offs and landings you will need a smooth surface. Gravel and grass will cause it to nose over. Repairs are easy and spare parts are available. Flight times very based on how much throttle you use. For use in no to very light breezes. Or indoors. It will slow fly. It can pull a loop. It can po birds and they can tear the plane up pretty bad. I've replaced the wings already from a dogfight with some sparrows. Once you get the cog right and the trim right it is a really nice flyer for a 3 channel plane. Well behaved will do nice scale touch and goes. Handles well for a micro until the wind picks up too much. Grab some spare batteries and have a ball. A football field is about the smallest area I would fly it in. Larger parks are even more fun.
