Be aware that these are not "walking around" slippers. Several reviewers don't seem to understand that you carry them to and from the microwave (because who wants to put shoes in the microwave if you've been walking around in them?). Think of them as tiny heating pads that you wear on your feet...not shoes.
They work...and work extremely well. I'll definitely buy another pair if these wear out.
I love the pair I bought so much! I have always had a hard time keeping my feet warm and I mean a REALLY hard time. My feet can be ice cold to the touch in the heat of the summer. I don't know if it is poor circulation or what but when I put these in the microwave and put them on my feet, it was like a little taste of heaven. They provide moist, warm heat that warmed and soothed my feet like nothing else I have ever tried. They kept my feet warm for a good hour after microwaving and I could not be more pleased with these slippers.
These are not really made to actually walk around in but only to warm your feet. They are fantastic and I would HIGHLY recommend these to anyone looking for something to warm their feet and increase their circulation or for anyone who wants to give someone a special gift that keeps on giving.
The only complaint that I have is that these are showing $16.99 but the pair that I ordered was a little over $18.00. Not sure why there was a difference in the price but it would have been nice to get them at the advertised price. For that reason, I removed one star.
UPDATE: 4/12/2017: I went ahead and ordered a second pair of these to send to another close friend (I sent her sister a pair last month). She loves them as much as her sister does! These are excellent for gift giving. Especially for people like me who have problems getting their feet to warm up due to poor circulation! Just know these are NOT to walk around in. They are only to warm your feet and get the blood flowing again. :-)
I'm not normally one to post reviews, but I felt compelled to give my opinion on these. I bought these specifically because they have warmth on the tops and toe areas, not just on the soles. I have Raynaud's and other circulation issues, so my toes in particular get cold. First of all, these things are pretty ugly! But I didn't buy them for a fashion statement, so, not a big deal. They took longer than directed to heat up in my microwave, over 2 minutes. But again, not a big deal. As many of the reviews state, these aren't meant for walking around - they are heavy and "bumpy" - but I expected this. Some people reviewed a strong odor of lavender or the like, but I didn't notice much of that. What I DID notice was the fact that they are wet when heated. Not damp; wet. Tried paper towels inside them while heating, wrapped them in hand towels, nothing. Just wet. And if you've ever had cold feet, the last thing you want to do is wrap them in something wet. Kind of defeats the purpose and is quite uncomfortable. Even left a damp sheen on my hardwood floor. They also didn't hold heat for very long, about 15 minutes at best. If they're weren't wet, they'd be ok for the price.
