3.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas The "Huffy" of bike racks. 7 de julio de 2014

If this thing was a bike, it would come from a department store. Does it work? Yeah. But it's big, it's heavy, it's steel, the holes kinda-but-not-really line up with the other holes you thread the bolts into, and the tolerances are so sloppy that you are actually directed to unwarp the thing by tightening some bolts and loosening others. (On the upside, once you get the hang of it you'll be able to true your own wheels!)

As others have mentioned, the clamps that set the height of each bike dig into the powder coat (by design, yuck), so you basically deface the thing and provide a starting point for rust in order to use it. And the hangers, though wisely covered in plastic dip, are too small for an oversized (or even not-that-oversized) top tube.

My snobby Cervelo and my girlfriend's much-less-snobby Klein turned up their little carbon-fiber noses at this rack. I just held mine.

I would very strongly recommend NOT following the lawyer-approved instructions to tighten the tension adjuster "until you can no longer continue". This thing is basically a light-duty floor jack, and even if you mount it under a ceiling joist (which you'd better), you'll go right through the drywall if you apply the full force of the screw adjuster. A good snug fit is a better idea.

The concept is great of the the execution is beyond poor. The list of parts in the instruction left out several key components and the instructions aren't great. We just put it up today. We live on the second floor of a duplex and this is mounted at the top of the stairs along the railing. It's there for the time being but you can bump it and the whole thing turns and wobbles despite being in as snug as possible. We have a Trek and Kline mountain bikes. We has to pry apart the hooks to get the bikes to fit without damaging them.

Our plan now it to go to the hardware store, get some wood and make our own version. We estimate that we can recreate a much sturdier, safer version for around $30. This one will be taken down and tossed.

I suspect that its meant to be mounted against the wall so if the bikes are bumped the whole thing doesn't start spinning. Waste of money.

Excellent service...received the item in a timely manner. The product is easy to put together and install. The only complaint is some of the parts were missing and the upper rack will not stay in place. Overall I am happy with the product and would probably buy it again.

This bike rack looks great in our small apt... I would say that it is not so easy to assemble...it definately takes two to install. and it took us a few times to get it secure and straight with the proper amount of tension between the floor and ceiling... I am still a bit nervous that it may somehow fall, but so far...so good... It's been a few months already and it's still standing... Lol

This works so well for two bikes in one space.
