It does not really stand out in a sea of similar novels, but it you like Maureen Johnson's kind of funny you'd be better off with this than something else by someone else. She also portrays the main character's frustration really well. It felt like running into a wall over and over again or being trapped in a room with no way out (which is sort of what this is too). Funny, but otherwise quite unremarkable.
