La vista se cansa mucho menos, son cómodas. Por 50€ vale la pena comprarlas. En sesiones largas delante del PC se hace mucho más llevaderas.

3.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas its ok i give them points for lenses more than anyting else 1 de octubre de 2013

PROS: wide wrap around lenses that wrap your field of vision in there lens, a necessity if you don't want a headache from this.
CONS: the lens scratch rather easily
the frame is really flimsy and basally a joke
the nose piece leaves allot to be desired.

Notes: I bought several pairs of Gunnar across different styles more as a product test as I like custom sunglasses and im a programmer. Overall, does this work- the answer is sorta.
The trick with this product is the glare reduction coating on the lens in combination with the contrast tint, it works nicely on all my monitors but the lenses contain a magnification component that is ridiculous especially if you have 20/20 vision. For me this the only pair I have tested where i haven't been given a searing headache due to the magnification as since the lens wraps the field of view your vision is balanced. Meaning, your entire field of view will be slightly magnified and tinted yellow rather than a chunk of it.However, as a whole as a product there is allot to be desired, the frame is a joke, its just strip of flat aluminum with hard plastic for earsocks, the nose pieces are also cheap plastic.
Note on packaging: it did come with a soft fabric sock case but for the price should be been a hard case.

This bad boy works great. It wraps around your face to surround your eyes with rimless eye soothing goodness. They are much more massive when compared to the other pair I have (weezer). I find it hard to look at computer monitors without these glasses. Seems to fit my face just right.

The only very minor complaint I have with this pair is the black piece that goes above the bridge of your nose. It is within your field of view, though it may not bother too much.

3.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas They work quite well, despite being big and ugly 26 de febrero de 2014

Before purchasing these, I already had a pair of Gunnars (the Catalysts), but they were difficult to wear with a headset. I'm a big fan of Gunnar Optiks in general, so my review is more of this specific frame than the concept of gaming glasses. If you spend a lot of time in front of a screen, I definitely recommend a pair, the question is, which one to pick.

After a couple of weeks with the SteelSeries Desmo, here's my rundown:

* Huge field of view - with no rims, it's hard to see the outside the glasses
* Headset compatible - the slim temples really do make it more comfortable to wear a big gaming headset
* Solid construction - I'm sure you can't sit on them, but in normal use I'm not worried about them spontaneously breaking. The lenses in particular are quite thick, which I was surprised by.

* Seriously unattractive - I was going to get rid of my Catalysts, but I might keep them in case I ever need to game in public. These are ridiculously ugly, in this reviewer's opinion
* Not super comfortable - these glasses are snug to my face, so while they are more comfortable with a headset than other glasses, I find them less comfortable overall. Maybe I need to stretch them out a little bit.
* They are giant - the huge field of view is awesome, but it comes at a price - they are a little heavy, and I have no idea how to store these things. They come with an oversized sleeve, and won't fit in any hard case that I've seen (including the official one from Gunnar).

Overall, I don't know if I'd pay full price for them. If you can find a deal though (and can stomach the style), you probably could do worse.

I liked the idea of a pair of glasses that were wide and covered my full vision and I still use them at home, but the build quality is terrible. The glasses are united by a piece of metal that is united to the cristals by four little screws. After 2 weeks, one of the screw holders just got separated from the metal piece that keeps the 2 cristals together. So one of the glasses just moves. I couldn not return them since I don't live in the US.

On top of that, they recommended the Gunnar Authentic Leather Case so I got that too. The case on its own is perfect but beware, this Desmo glasses don't fit into it.

What I did like is that they do work in reducing eye strain. At first I didn't get used to them but after a couple of weeks I don't even start my pc without them. I'm a programmer so I'm in front of a monitor all day long and the difference is so much real.

In the end I got the Vayper model, those are much much better.

I don't know how i ever looked at a screen without them! I never realized how stained my eyes got working all day on privacy screens. Now, if i try to work without them, my eyes scream for relief in a few minutes.

I had grown so accustomed to having a headache at work I had stopped noticing when I went home with one. I never go home with a headache now!

If you are hesitant, don't be. They do work. The magnification will not bother you if you do not go into it expecting zero magnification. You will spend less on these than a year's worth of aspirin.
