Okay, so why only 4 stars? This is a little nitpicky, but I don't like the power cord. From the bulky adapter to the tiny DC-in pin, this is more like the power supply for a portable CD Player or cable modem. A professional, gig-ready keyboard should have the thick three-pin wire and that's it. Other, smaller-sized products (for example a Nord Electro or Yamaha Motif) have the adapter inside, so there should be no reason why these electronics cannot accommodate the power supply inside. Another admitted disappointment is that the user interface takes a little while to get the sequence right in programming in the expected sounds. It's not exactly intuitive to get the next sound when switching during live performance. While it's great that the two registers can be set up to play separate programs (acting as though they are two separate synths), the switching takes a bit of practice to master. I compare this to the live playability of my old (and nearly twice as heavy) standby, a Roland RD-700, which is easily switchable between voices--one button, and you're right back where you were--and you know exactly what you're playing next, provided your accuracy is within the half-inch between buttons. The SK-2's dial switch is useful and quick, though, when a particular bank has been unlocked.
All in all, it's a great keyboard. I'm surprised I don't see more in my travels, but I guess that makes it more exclusive, and it's certainly a conversation piece when people see a brand-new (well almost) Hammond on the stand.
Oh, and I've got it protected from dust with a nice little cover, Neewer® Keyboard Dust Cover for 76 Key Keyboards (Dimension: 47.2 * 15.7 * 5.5inch / 120 * 40 * 14cm),Rose Red
It fits nearly perfectly.
