I'm a teacher, and I recently had a student move in who suffers from anxiety attacks. I picked up this book to try to better understand what my student is going through. You can't teach them if you don't understand them.

The book is well thought out, and obviously very well researched. It is well written, the author uses a conversational language to write, and that makes it easy for anyone to understand. I find that many of the techniques the author tells us about, I can use with my student, for example telling my student that what they say to themselves during an attack can have a positive effect on the attacks. I didn't know that before I read this book. There is also advice on what your body feels before a panic attack sets in. I'm hopeful that by sharing that information with my student, they will be able to incorporate some of the techniques.

Something that I really appreciate, is that along with the book, the author directs you to his website where there are some very helpful videos, and the author also gives information about some of his other products in case you are interested in those. As I said, I personally appreciate that a lot. Often times when I read something I find useful, I search for other products or information, I didn't have to do that because it was all right there for me. The videos in particular are super helpful combined with the information in the book, and I plan on watching all of them several times and have bookmarked the site for future reference.

The only regret I have is not purchasing this in paperback version first, I should have, because I'm going to order one now to keep on my reference shelf. I have a feeling this book will be useful to me for the rest of my career.

I highly recommend.

This resource works GREAT if you are willing to faithfully apply the recommendations! I'm in my mid-40s and I've suffered severe anxiety and panic attacks since childhood. My therapist referred me to this several months ago. I read it cover to cover, and I was hooked! Mr. Verschaeve's writing style comes across as if he is taking to me. He cuts to the chase and offers a structured process which the reader needs to apply to their own personal situation. He actually presents each step of the process in a way which can work, but if-and-only-if you are ready to heal. What gives this resource so much credibility is the honesty of its presentation, and that I have had to take fully responsibility for my own healing by putting Mr. Verschaeve's recommendations into practice! Mr.Verschaeve's sense of humor has also kept me engaged at every moment!

I can recommend this to anyone suffering from anxiety or panic attacks if the reader is ready to use it to take responsibility for their own recovery!

Finally a book and method I can recommend to my patients.

My own daughter has had panic attacks for over 17 years. At first I prescribed her some meds, that's what every physician would do. Needless to say it didn't work.

A while ago I ordered this book for her. She read it and subscribed to the extra videos you can get on the author's website (for free!). The combination of those techniques helped her improve week by week. I could see `my little girl' transforming herself into a new and improved version.
She was previously unemployed because of this and now has just found a new job, with great possibilities.

Furthermore, I've been recommending this book for a while when I have patients with Panic Attacks and the results are incredible.
This book is not a miracle, it requires some work, but the results...well they are truly amazing.

I looked online though tons of websites for this content, but it was worth the money to have all that information collected in one place. The last year I've been dealing with anxiety and had a panic attack two months ago at the dentist office of all places. The best thing the book has done for me is made me hyper-aware of my anxiety and with this awareness, I've had more control. Helpful book and I recommend it.

This is one of several books that I bought after one of my more severe panic attacks and it has some good information to it. I would probably list this one as my second choice after A Life Less Anxious because this one, even more than A Life Less Anxious, made me feel that the author was constantly trying to sell me something. However that doesn't take away from the information that's in the book. If you want a book that's more cut to the chase then I would say the Anxiety Secret Report will give you some quick info to help dealing with the issue, but I wouldn't make that the only book I buy. This one is definitely a good addition to your collection, but I think while many of these books are similar each has some bit of information to share and different ways of saying the same thing.
